Mike Malone benched DeMarcus Cousins for the last 20 minutes of today's game, and basically called out the starters for their effort.

Odds that Cousins gets traded before the deadline just jumped a lot.

To be fair, we've all been saying this so long, this is already an anomaly.

Let the horrible trades idea for cousins begin!

Why, simply because I want to see Cousins/Hardin/Dwight on the same team. I don't think they would work out at all and it would just be funny to see that team implode.
Add into this i'd like to see Beverly and Westbrook on the same team because I want to be able to lay a wager on the two of them getting into a fight with each other on the court.

edit- the trade has nothing to do with the Blazers i'm just bored and like to use ESPN's trade machine.

Man. The Lakers are terrible.

I don't even think Kobe can fix this. He may be good for a few wins and obviously ticket sales, but wow.

I wonder if he is suddenly, at some point, going to have a "delay" in his return, since the team is so bad? It would be funny.

I can't see it, what exactly did you do? LOL.

From the looks of it - Brook Lopez is highly questionable tomorrow.

To OKC: Patrick Beaverly, Chuck Hayes, Jimmer, Asik

To Houston: Cousins, Outlaw

To Sactown: Perkins, Lamb, Steven adams, Terrance Jones, D. Motie, Reggie Jackson, Perry Jones

Lopez sat out Saturday's game and was limping badly along the sidelines, the New York Daily News reports.
Spin: The next game for the Nets lands on Monday against the Blazers. Lopez should be considered highly questionable for that game and still shaky for Wednesday's game against the Bobcats.

Where is the Blazers vs Nets thread.......oh never mind. I'll go make one real quick!

Good! I'm not one of those who likes to play other teams at full strength.....I like any advantage I can get.

You and me both.

Rotowire is also saying Pierce and Garnett are day to day. Garnett is actually iffy, where it -sounds- like Pierce may go.

From rotowire -Garnett will not play Saturday against the Clippers because of a sprained ankle, the Orange County Register reports.
Spin: With Garnett out, coach Jason Kidd could put Reggie Evans in the starting lineup. Consider the Big Ticket day-to-day.

From rotowire - Pierce will miss Saturday's game with a groin injury, Newsday reports.
Spin: This is a bit of a surprise, as there was no documentation about an injury with Pierce prior to this announcement. He should be considered day-to-day until we know more.

Evans CRUUUUUUUUSHED us last year here!

Oh yeah! I think that was his only game over 6 points ever. lol.

Also, Williams is day to day....

RotoWire - Williams (ankle) will miss Saturday's game against the Clippers, Nets Daily reports.
Spin: This does not come as a surprise as Williams seemed to be in pain after spraining his ankle again Friday and voicing his frustrations with the constant injuries he has had to deal with this season. Look for Shaun Livingston to get the start at point guard and Joe Johnson to shoulder some of the ball-handling duties.

--------

I'm sure we will know more by 2-3 PST tomorrow. Though, they could be mean and activate them right before tip. lol.

Oi. Pistons looked terrible in the 2nd half.

Jordan Hill playing out of his mind. It'll be Hillsanity. :MARIS61:

Woah the lakers aren't too bad at all! Kobe back soon and boy oh boy can those son of a guns score!

They aren't that good. They need Jordan Hill to do this every night. I'm still not impressed by them. Once Kobe comes back everyone else will suffer.

Jermaine Oneil may be out for the season. Sad, he found a good niche in GS getting minutes as the back up center on a good team.

Crazy to think that he was essentially out of the league for good due to that gruesome injury, and yet here he is, the healthy point guard on the Nets.

Whoa there cowboy.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The Golden State Warriors say an MRI exam shows backup center Jermaine O'Neal has a bruised right knee and a strained right groin.

O'Neal didn't travel with the team for Monday night's game at the Utah Jazz and is considered day to day. He was injured early in the fourth quarter of Golden State's
102-88 victory over the Jazz on Saturday night in Oakland when he slipped along the baseline.

O'Neal is in his 18th season in the NBA. He has battled numerous knee injuries throughout his career, though the most serious have been to his left knee

Hopefully he'll recover just fine.
