Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

I would agree if they were 5-8th worse. Anything higher would scream conspiracy. No way the NBA pulls the trigger.

This is Stern we're talking about. It'd be weirder if he DIDN'T have a conspiracy going. If he has the chance, he'll rig it one last time.

Stern will be retired before the lotto happens. I believe he is retiring at the all star break.

I thought it was after the season? Which, regardless, will be before the lotto. However, if Lakers aren't in it, he'll know before the end and put the order in. He's just that crazy.

If Jimmer's available for a "right to switch 2019 2nds" or something, I'd like to pick him up. SAC expects nothing back for him.

He's played in THREE games this year. Seriously, wtf is up with sacramento? Is that the place where young basketball players go for vacation?

I bet the Jazz will trade big for him!

What will look suspicious to me is if the NBA's stripe-shirted goon squad starts 'jobbing' the Flakers during games (or just calling their games fairly), to make sure they do fall into lottery heaven. Then let the lottery take care of itself.

Love: 2-14

Rubio: 2-7

Yikes.

Crazy it may sound but I think Rubio's shooting % will go up after this performance.

lol at the timberwolves.

I bet those rubes were so happy at the beginning of the year thinking they had a great team.

How does it feel continuing to suck :(

Kevin Love continues to be who we thought he was. A once-in-a-generation stat beast who doesn't make his teammates better. I wonder how much he'd be getting killed on this board if he put in literally no effort on defense as a Blazer, which is basically what he does every night.

Marc Gasol is so fucking good.

Guys - Dunno if it's been said here already: so many posts

But, Curry has a mild concussion. He's day to day with no timetable. He may be out Saturday. If he is, does this up our chances a tad to actually have a chance?

Of course it helps. I think he'll be back though.

Anyone know where I can find the numbers on what portion of possessions that teams post up, run iso's, etc.?

I ask because I'm fascinated that the Warriors actually run iso post plays really often in half court sets. The abnormal part is that they give it to Barnes and Klay who pound smaller players, but both guys are pretty good with their back to the basket. Barnes in particular loves that mid-post ISO area and MJackson uses him very much like a poor man's Melo.

Howard 11-11 against dallas.

Houston has 100 pts in 3 qtrs.

Steph Curry AND Toney Douglas out for Warriors. Implications:

- Andre Iguodalais running the offense whenever hes in the game. He runs offense maybe 30% of the time when hes in usually so its not completely new to him. Hes not shooting well but has 5 assists and 1 TO at the half of a low scoring game.

- Harrison Barnes starts. Hes having a nice game thus far. Probably more interesting though is that the Warriors don't have a starter under 6'7, plus the two first players off the bench are Speights and Draymond Green. The only GS player under 6'7 who has played is Kent Bazemore who is 6'4 but has a 7'0 wingspan, and he only played 4 minutes in the first half.

Damn that's a tall lineup, I used to love to do that shit on nba2k

Harden was crying foul and stopped playing with 4 seconds left.
