No, they just didn't get shafted as badly as Philly. Arguably Denver or Orlando did better.

That's just silly. The Lakers got more than they gave up, no matter how poorly Howard fit. What Denver and Orlando got out of the deal has no bearing on that.

What team did Vuceuvic come from? Because that guy is going to be good for a long time.

Why are Chicago so bad? They didn't have Rose all last season and they were still good - I don't get it. Have they tuned out Thibodeau? The Larry Brown effect?

I thought they tuned him out late last season. He had convinced his team to play 100% on defense and move the ball around on offense. Once the other team starts scoring while you're giving 100% defense over a long stretch of games, and you lose, of course players start to tune out the coach. Nate Robinson saved them last year, and he was the polar opposite of a player that Thibs likes to coach.

He played at USC in college. Was a solid, yet quiet, player for them. He seems to be another of those 18ish PER guys who puts up numbers on bad teams. It's the Fantasy Basketballization of the interweb GM job. It's prevalent.

See, it's hard to really say that as a fact when he's only played less than a full season with one other team on his rookie year. Now, if he were to go to a contending team and stink it up, then this could be warranted, but we really only know him from Orlando.

Nikola Vucevic stats

I've watched the last GSW games. Draymond Green is such an awesome player despite his mediocre stats.

Did wins against us give Phoenix mojo? They iced Golden State now too

They're a good team man. I still think they need to trade either Dragic or Bledsoe.

If you were Phoenix, would you do Dragic for Monroe/Caldwell-Pope?

No I wouldn't. Dragic is winning them games

I see what you are doing there! You just want dragic in the east!

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

NBA TV is going to talk about rumors right now with David Aldridge

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

Omer Asik is one of the main rumors

Detroit says no to that. I think the Suns should move Dragic to the Knicks for Shumpert, a filler, and a pick.

I think they need a legit post scorer. Dragic for Monroe is fair... not sure what they would add for filler though.

Asik to Cleveland for varejao, but Aldridge thinks they say no. One on the table that they will likely pick is 76ers. I don't have that detail though. Aldridge says they are waiting if sweeter deals come through

I don't think Varejao is enough to put them over the top. Interesting to hear what they might have from Philly. It would suck of Philly sent them Hawes and Turner for Asik and filler.

I don't think they want to give up Hawes. I would think they want to give up young.

Young would be interesting on Houston. I think they need a lights out shooter to go with Howard and Harden. Young isn't really a shooter though, is he?

His mid range has really improved this season. And he defends well

My first thought was Turner (no idea why they just want to give him away, but they seem to hate him in Philly) and Hawes. Could be Young if they want to get his salary off the books.

If Houston turned Asik into Turner and Hawes, that would be huge for them.

Probably the homers at WEEI. The Clynyk for Asik or something.

I don't know why Philly would trade for Asik. That doesn't make much sense to me.
