I say 48-36. But even a 50 win season will be a challenge to make the playoffs in the west this year.
How? We're all gonna beat up on each other. Last year only 2 teams had 50 wins. So how is winning 50 games not gonna get a team into the playoffs?

Okay. Little earlier than I had said I would, but this should give more time for everyone to change their predictions 2189p375034985709857 times.

I will only use one prediction from each person and I will only use the last prediction.

For this seasons tiebreaker, we will go with CJ McCullom's 3pt% and for a tie breaker on that, include his total attempts. If CJ happens to be traded without enough data to use, we will move to another player at that time. If he is traded midway through the season or later we should have enough data to use. Which will make his total attempts pretty interesting.

No more predictions will be allowed after tip off of the first regular season game on Oct. 29th.

My prediction is:

50-32, 41% shooting on 424 attempts

GO!

See?

You guys. You predict losses and then bitch when they happen.
Cmon Eric.

Everyone knows they'll likely experience the death of someone close to them in their lifeteam. Does that mean we can't feel sad or mourn the loss because we knew it'd happen at some point? You can't feel strongly unless it was unexpected?

You honestly can look at the moves they made this offseason and think they will be BETTER?
Yes, I believe that the development of our two young bigs Nurk and Zach, along with the shooting we added will make us a better team. I also expect improvement from CJ, Dame and a few of our other guys because they've improved every year. I'm saying 3 games better which isn't that much but you are right, I believe the team improved.

And the season starts on Oct 18th, not 29th.

O

they’re referring to the pre-season as starting on the 29th.

He said the season starts “October 29th.”

Yup. You’re right.
I have heard lots of people refer to the 29th as when the NBA starts this year, I wonder if that’s where the confusion was.

Radio around here has been preaching the 29th.

Regardless, the cut off for entries is at tip off of the first regular season Blazer game.

I can respect that. Don’t agree with it though. I think you’ve seen the ceiling for Dame and CJ playing together. Which isn’t a bad thing, there just isn’t ANYBODY else that can help consistently.

I think Seth Curry is a pretty big upgrade over Napier, not that, that means a lot more wins.
I just think that’s probably the one place they upgraded roster wise. The rest is just hope for internal improvement.

Sadly, I agree. Dame and C.J. are taking 51% of our shots per game. We need a third scoring option ( one who can play D) by the way and draw pressure away ffom our two stars. Where are we going to find that? Not from a pick'n roll center like Nurk. Because we are playing in a league where the center isn't really a key position any more and shit, he loses effectiveness as the season goes on. Maybe Collins is that missing piece, but realistically hoe many points is he going to add a game?

We need a major talent infusion here. Olshey's "let the pot simmer" philosophy has been an utter fucking disaster. You don't bank on inner growth in a city like Portland unless your dealing with players with a high ceiling. Look at Danny Ainge. He's spent five years being utterly ruthless to build a team capable of competing with GS. Olshey's philosphies of nickel and diming trades rarely work out because has so few options and talent is at such a premium in this league. Neil is playing checkers and everybody else is playing Four D chesss. That's the lesgue were in. But I will admit one thing. He is good at saving Paul Allen money and putting a team together that will make fans just happy enough to buy season tickets.

Okay let's limit this to basketball.
I'll try again. Beaverton is a great place to live and has a very strong rich history of a diverse culture. And we all love their strip malls and how their City Hall looks just like a Panda Express

Exactly. You have the ability to speak truth. Just not about basketball.
