We don’t choke those leads with Nurk. Look at the impact Gasol is making rn for Toronto defensively and GS doesn’t have anyone who can defend players with a shred of post ability.

Nurkic was healthy and playing when Portland got swept by the Pelicans. He wasn't when Portland got swept by the Warriors this year, and Plumlee was healthy when Portland got swept 2 years ago

the common denominator in those games was opposing defenses selling out to take Lillard out of the Blazer offense. It's worked 4 years in a row in the playoffs. Nurkic in the high post might have reduced a little pressure on Dame this year, but it sure didn't against the Pels and AD. Portland needs somebody, besides Dame, who can handle the ball and run the offense when a team is defending Dame the way they do; somebody who is a threat to score well or pass well. They don't have that player, and until they do, opponents know they get a two-fer with their Dame defense: they limit Portland's #1 scoring option as well as the only guy who can consistently run the offense. The payoff for that defensive strategy is obvious and the template is established

Nurkic might have made a difference but, IMO, he wouldn't have been enough to turn 0-4 into 4-2. That's just not a realistic expectation

Nurkic wouldve been the Blazers biggest matchup advantage who is GS gonna roll out to stop him? Especially with DMC hurt?
I agree with you that just rolling Nurk out doesnt make it go from 4-0 to 4-2, but it definitely helps. I think we can see in the Toronto series that the size of Toronto does really give them a hard time.

No, because of injury. I cooked their team during the summer on my recruiting trip. Went there in September and my knees failed me. Theres been swelling below my kneecap thays bigger than my kneecap every since. Excruciatingly sharp pains during explosive movement. Held me back, and I barely played because of that combined with us having the deepest talent pool in the entire league. That's the truth. But I guarantee you that I'm better than you ever were.

Huh? deepest talent pool in the entire league? Weren't you guys like 7-7 in league play. Didn't you also play in every game that year? Somebody doesn't appear to be telling the truth? All you need to be is real about yourself instead of trying to fluff yourself up to be something you aren't. It's great that you played a year of community college and you should be proud of that but save the "I am the greatest basketball player to ever grace the S2 Blazer fan forum" attitude..

As for your guarantee, I can guarantee you that I was a much better baseball player than you ever were as a basketball player and I could hold my own on a basketball court in my days just fine. How were you on the baseball field?

Oh please, adding Nurkic would have completely changed the dynamics of the team. Even a healthy Kanter would have made a difference. Adding Nurkic changed our defense completely and would have giving us a much stronger inside presence along with the pick n roll as a solid weapon.

And it predictably, and unnecessarily, devolves into a pissing match.

Not what I come here for.

See you in September boys!

See you in September. Maybe then you won't start pissing matches by telling posters how to post...

If you feel like you can talk shit to someone, you should expect a response.

You didn't have to respond to my post. :dunno:

I am being real bud. Why would I lie to you? You're a 70-yesr old man trying to flex on an internet forum. I'll let you have that :biglaugh:

You've done your research. Therefore, you should know we finished 4th out of 33 teams inn the postseason (much like our Blazers). We didn't have the top-end talent to win it all, but we had an extremely deep team.. the 10th-13th men would've started on half the teams in that league. That's part of why we struggled in league play too. Too many players that deserved minutes and we couldn't settle on a rotation. Turned out to be one of the worst situations for me, mentally, emotionally, and on the court.

Baseball? Shitty. My swing was smooth as an 11 year old but getting hit by pitches every 3 at bats took my mind out of it. It was rough.

Monica will sing the SSB tonight but the Raptors have opted to let the crowd sing O Canada. Major chills incoming.

KD is being rushed back if he plays. He is not fully healthy. May make injury worse. GSW is desperate. Sacrificing a players health so they don't get embarassed.

I think they are trying some Willis Reed inspiration trick. KD may get on the court for a few minutes but that is all. It will be clear as day if he can continue or not. If he is out there limping, I think he just plays a couple minutes and then sits the rest of the game. Even if he is somewhat healthy, there is no way he is playing a ton of minutes. I guess we will find out tonight.

Predication - Raptors win comfortably like they have the last couple of games.

It's KD's last game in a warriors uniform either way.

I'm happy.

He wouldn’t play if he didn’t want to.

GS in 7!

But are we certain about this? See, I would love nothing more to see KD leave that team, but I get this feeling that'll he sign a one-year extension should they lose the series and become a FA for next offseason.

Depending on how well Durant can play, this could be a game changer. I am not saying that the Warriors will win the final 3 games they need to win the finals, but if Durant can play near his old self the possibilities of it happening do go up dramatically.
