Toronto’s defence is at another level. They’ve held every opponent in the playoffs well below their season and post-season averages. Portland? Well Portland’s defence is shit - cuz the Blazers have a fucktard for a coach. No capacity to learn and get better. Truly the sign of a great coach like so many in here think. Smh
I just love how result-based their defense is. "We made the WCF!!". Where was the results-based thinking last year when we got swept? "Oh, bad matchup. Unlucky".

Honest question to Stotts defenders... Do you seriously think Toronto would be playing such a great style of offensive basketball like they are now with Terry Stotts as their head coach...?

Also Toronto has great length at every position with the exception of PG. That certainly helps when defending long players like Thompson. Gotta admit, Ujiri has done an amazing job constructing this team.

They have Kawhi and Ibaka and Gasol. Defensive Players of the Year types. A fucktard coach would look better with those guys.

HUGE difference
That's the thing - We're prone to droughts because we're prone to stretches where we're stagnant and get terrible shot after terrible shot.

Toronto had a mini-drought, but they were getting great shots so Golden State wasn't even able to get it to single-digits. Toronto knowing how to play elite defense helped as well.

Anyone enjoying the Stotts extension? I would have fired Stotts and hired someone from "We The North".

If you are Neil Olshey and have a chance to trade for Kwahi but you don’t know if he will sign long term, do you do the trade?

NO. Unless you fire Stotts first.
Because you need a coach who actually believes in Defense.

With out a doubt. If you truly believe in the organization & culture you believe that you can re-sign him after he sees the team up close
