The way his knee buckled, I thought it was MCL.

ACL is just unbelievable.

wow Warriors lost KD with torn Achilles and now Klay with ACL... Fawk injuries damn

Does GS make the playoffs with Step and Draymond?
Woof that’s a tough question... I mean, what are the Warriors gonna look like next season? (I’m gonna assume KD+Boogie are gone and Klay is out an extended amount of time)...

Steph / Cook
Iggy / Livingston / Evans
McKinnie / Draft Pick?
Green / Jerebko
Looney / Bell

Of course they will sign some free agents but their cap situation is fucked so they will be smaller names/old.

I could honestly see them missing the playoffs... especially with up and coming teams like the Kings/Mavs and the likely reloaded Lakers.

How does the injured player exception work?
Well I don't think they can get one for Klay because he's a free agent so they'd be signing a player they know is injured. If KD opts out he'd be in the same boat even if he re-signed.

Besides, if you get an injury exception that player can't play that season. The player you acquire has to sign a one year deal or if you trade for him he has to be on the last year of the contract.

It's not going to be worth enough for GS to do it. Gordon Hayward got hurt for Boston and they were awarded about $9 million as in injury exception when his contract was $29 million. This isn't even worth discussing.

Well, that's why I asked how it worked because I didn't know lol.

Holy Shit is right. Today is June 13th. The season starts in 4 months. He will be back after the all star break but will be rusty.
All eyes on Kawhi and AD now

Iggy referenced that it's been all rosy for Lacob since he bought the team. Finally he faces some real adversity. I wonder if this will finally give him some humility
Losing every game in your home arena in the finals in said arenas farewell year... its starting to crumble down.

Oh yeah. Although I think we are starting to see signs of Steph's body breaking down a bit, and Draymond is a time bomb waiting to go off. But, yeah, they'll be a playoff team.

i didn't there was any way a lebron team would miss the playoffs, yet here we are. stranger things have happened. they have 0 flexibility to improve their roster for this upcoming season. Luxury tax payments are already sky high

I think Kawhi stays, AD is ultimately traded to LA, KD and Irving land in Brooklyn, Boogie heads to Atlanta or Dallas, and Klay signs max with GSW.

Also, it's the same leg in which he hurt his hamstring.

I hope we never ever rush a player back from injury again. It's all connected
I wonder if internally they all kind of knew this was the last year a lot of them would be together so they were kind of forcing things (in terms of being on the court) because they felt like it was their last run.

Yeah really, dont care if GS wins or loses its not the Blazers winning.
Lakers are the only team I actively cheer against. So GS losing doesnt mean a thing to me.
In terms of Toronto, I honestly dont really have any feelings bad or good about any of them, the whole team makes me, :dunno:.

Well, you're probably in the minority here. Which is fine. Just like it's fine for us to be glad that GSW lost...

Yep a injury to Steph like LBJ had and the result could be the same.

That's why I qualified it with Steph's health. If LeBron stays healthy for at least 70 games, the Lakers probably make the playoffs, but that front office was a mess, too. And LeBron is at a point where his body is beginning to break down, too.

The Warriors weren't just a great team. They were a dominant team. They found ways to win games they had no business winning, including three against us. They won without KD. For them to fall the whole way out of the playoffs, IMO, a lot would have to go wrong, more than one could reasonably expect.

I hope to hell he stays but I would be shocked.

Go get AD. The West is ours if we can pull that off.
I'm preparing myself to be very annoyed when the Blazers are involved in helping facilitate a trade of AD to Boston or LAL and the Blazers get nothing all that helpful out of it..

I wouldn’t be too shocked... he has a championship team around him right now, why go to LA (either team)? The Clippers don’t have the dogs yet and the Lakers are a fucking dumpster fire currently.
