I’m just happy none of our players went to Lakers, speaking of... if they miss out on Kawhi, their list of FAs is getting REAL thin.
Even if they get him, they aren’t getting shit to surround them.Starting to sound more and more like LAL will get Kawhi...

You totally need decent role players still, especially when you have injury prone superstars who are definitely all gonna be on load management. When you have 3 of the best 6-7 players in the league I don’t think you need that much more.

They would be beatable. If Kawhi goes to Lakers we are basically to square one in terms of competitiveness of the NBA for the next 2-3 seasons, or worse. It’ll be Lakers instead of Warriors which is even worse.
Mario may get a try out for that roleAre we gonna get a vet pg?
They would be beatable.
NoHypothethical: Would you have rather NO re-signed Kanter at the contract he received from Boston (or we gave Hood) and then seen what wing we could have acquired for the Moe/Leonard package?
LOL JR Smith. Look, they will be good but LeBron isn’t a spring chicken anymore, last season his body finally looked to give out on him a bit, it’s only gonna get worse. I can’t remember a season where AD didn’t get beat up and miss games either. Kawhi’s likely fine but even he missed nearly a whole season just a season ago.Not really. They will have three superstars of the highest caliber and one good player in Kuzma, are going to get JR Smith on minimum too. They will also get to spend their MLE on somebody. That gets them to 55 wins even if everybody else in that rotation sucks. Then we get to February when they can have their choice of buyout players to fill out the roster and will probably get 2-3 good players there.
You need 7-8 guys for the playoffs. They will have that. Even if one of those guys get injured they still have the other two awesome players, and that’s still better than anyone else.
People are deluding themselves if they think they won’t be amazing with those three. There is no scenario where you have Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James and Anthony Davis on your team and aren’t spectacular.
I think you'll be surprised. There's no shortage of mercenaries in the NBA. They'd have three superstars who all can play defense. Surround them with a few guys who can hit open shots and they'll be extremely good. SucksEven if they get him, they aren’t getting shit to surround them.
I expect Iggy to end up there, but the market is getting REALLY thin right now.I think you'll be surprised. There's no shortage of mercenaries in the NBA. They'd have three superstars who all can play defense. Surround them with a few guys who can hit open shots and they'll be extremely good. Sucks

Well Injuries is how Toronto just won, Toronto seems ok with it...Yeah so we are basically counting on injuries. Fully fit they are unbeatable.

I guess thats why the play the game?I don’t think they would. They would be like a much better version of Warriors, really.
Injuries could play a role but if all three are on the floor, there’s no way in hell they are losing a playoffs series. Not a chance.
They are beatable when fit. I’d like our chances when fully healthy against them. I’m sure teams like Houston, Utah, and Golden State all feel the same too.Yeah so we are basically counting on injuries. Fully fit they are unbeatable.
Neil probably went through the motions on that hypothetical as well as other scenarios. I have no idea what they were.
I think Whiteside is a better addition than Kanter. Better defense and rebounding which we will need during Nurk's rehab and with all of the newly acquired wings!
I won't be surprised if NO did - I expect he did, and that very well could be why we so quickly moved on Hood - NO felt this combo was better than the reverse. That being said, I'd love to know what was behind Door #2.
And Whiteside basically cost about 4.7 mil I think given the 2019 salary differentials, so a bit less than KanterNeil probably went through the motions on that hypothetical as well as other scenarios. I have no idea what they were.

Do you have a particular wing or wings in mind? I am curious about door #2 as well.
I don’t like our chance of coming within 10 points off of them in a single playoffs game against them. That would be like the worst possible matchup I can think of. They would find it even easier than Warriors in the last 12 playoffs games against us.They are beatable when fit. I’d like our chances when fully healthy against them.
