OTOH if he doesn't sign with LAL the guy is a fucking hero. Waited long enough so that the Lakers have no one to fall back on. I would love for them to absolutely strike out in Free Agency. Years and years of incompetent management should not be rewarded with the most talented big 3 ever
 
I think if Detroit is struggling we’re gonna start circling around Blake with picks/young players and Whiteside very very quickly. Which I think they’d definitely think about.

I know when the Cavs are struggling, we’ll be offering something involving Whiteside for Love too, the writing is one the wall here.

Id love to try and rebuild Whitesides value then try to find a 3rd team with expirings who would be willing to give up a 1st for him. We send two picks to Detroit and Whiteside to the 3rd team who sends a pick and expirings to Detroit.

Then we use Bazemore, Trent, and a pick to go for Porter Jr.
 
Why are Bill Simmons and Kevin O’Connor so baffled with DeAndre Jordan deal? He’s not great or even good anymore but he’s still a decent backup center to have with his rebounding and ability to catch lobs. His defense has regressed but $10million a year is hardly obscene enough to be repeating ‘wow’ in shock ten times, especially when you consider Kyrie and KD agreed to take less money to accommodate that deal so it probably only cost them like $6million a year.

He won’t be amazing for them but he’s not completely useless I feel and it’s not like he got close to a max.

Even if he is completely useless it’s actually fine to give that deal if it gets you closer to Kyrie and KD. If someone told you you can get Kawhi on this Blazers team but you also need to pay John Henson $8million a year for the next 4 years because they are amazing friends and Kawhi wants that, would you even hesitate?
 
Kawhi is leak testing three teams. Lakers leaked the Magic/Buss meeting right away. Woj has been talking mad shit for Balmer for weeks. Raps camp has been dead silent and was throughout the season and playoffs. Trust is earned! Do the right thing, Kawhi!

Agreed. If he doesn't sign with them, he basically held them up and will leave them with nothing. I'd love that.

Thing is he doesn't need Lebron and Davis. He has proven this. The Clippers I would understand. He goes back to LA to play for a hometeam where its his team. Toronto would be his team. Lakers would not be.

The more video I watch the more I can't believe we got him for so cheap. He literally can play 4 positions. Knew he could shoot but surprised by his defense and ball handling.

Yeah that would be spectacular. He’d basically single handedly set Lakers 2 years back at least (no free agents worth much next year).

I’m trying to figure out why nobody would pay more than we did. Sounds like he has a lot of games where he disappears. The highlights show amazing potential though. Poor mans Doncic?

Word is that after basically carrying a team to a title, he may be more interested in having comparable co-stars rather than being "the man".
