It looks to me the celtics dont want to give horford a 4 year deal, but a other team is willing to give him a lot of money, mhh who could that be??

Sacramento lol
I was thinking the same. I just wonder whats going on there, i allways thougt Boston was a good place to play and live, good culture, good fanbase, good organization, really weird

I don't think they are that desperate. :biglaugh:
Honestly, if they rebuild around Tatum, Brown and Smart, i could see them trading Hayward to us for expiring contracts like Turner and Meyers, gives them a lot of cap space for 2020

I'll never get the time back that I spent reading twitter and posting this like anyone gives a shit. LOL

If I was the Celtics I would say see you later to Irving. I'd consider re-signing Horford to a much cheaper deal but if he just opted out of $30 million for one year I'd probably let him go too.

Build around Tatum, Brown, and give the PG keys to a re-signed Rozier. They have 3 1st round picks (14,20, and 22) and could easily open up a max slot if Irving and Horford leave.

They'll be fine. I actually prefer this instead of re-signing Irving and Horford.

Watch Danny Ainge turn this into something great even if it takes him a year -- Ainge is one of the very best at making nothing or very little into something so if i was a Celtic fan i would not be that worried about the team maybe next year will be a down one but all will be fine in the end.

Even if the Blazers has 100M in cap space, do you think Olshey can sign a super star Free Agent to come to Portland?

Like I mentioned, they have 3 1st round picks, a young stud in Tatum, all their future picks, and a 1st rounder from Memphis who might be really bad the next couple years and it's only top-6 protected next year and unprotected in 2021.

I would kill to have Ainge be the GM of the Blazers and i would give up a 1st rounder to get it done but since that will never happen it's just a pipe dream.

Funny because I was thinking just the opposite. His strategy that so many people were envious of has produced very little. The verdict is still out but so far all the picks and cap space has not given them much except Tatum.

They did get closer to the finals then the Blazers did.

I’m with PW on this one

Celtics went from one of the brightest futures to... not so much. Quickly.

Tatum is the only player that has serious potential, imo.

Draft picks overrated, especially in comparison to Kyrie/Horford and retaining your assets and passing on someone like Kawhi.

I don't think losing Kyrie is that bad, losing Horford might hurt them, but Rozier, Brown and Tatum are a good young group they could build around.

Brown was trash last year

So was Rozier

Could’ve been all Kyries fault. But there was some serious regression.

Also, Kyrie is a knucklehead, but they don’t have anyone on that team that can do what he can when it actually matters. You gotta be able to get shots. Tatum is realistically the only one.

Kyrie needs to be a second fiddle imo.

I think they definitely took a step back and Im not blaming it all on Kyrie. I pretty much agree with you, but if I was the Celtics I probably wouldnt be all that upset he was leaving. I think Brown and Tatum struggled learning how to play with a real ball dominant guard.
