Speaking Wednesday on SiriusXM NBA Radio, retired former Charlotte player and current basketball analyst Brendan Haywood spoke on Howard, who was traded to the Brooklyn Nets for Timofey Mozgov. Haywood revealed that the ex-All-Star center was not exactly well-liked in the Hornets’ locker room.

“The locker room hated Dwight Howard,” said Haywood. “I’m not sure if Charlotte is rebuilding or if they’re just trying to get Dwight Howard out of there, but it was clear the locker room did not like Dwight Howard.

“It’s simply because of how he goes about his business day-to-day in that locker room,” Haywood added. “Now he’s not the guy going around slapping people in the face. But [he’s] hard to deal with, doesn’t accept responsibility, cries a lot, has bad tendencies, awful body language. So all these things contributed to why he was shipped out of Charlotte … People I talked to behind the scenes, guys were just sick and tired of his act.”

The 32-year-old Howard was only on the Hornets for one season and actually had strong averages of 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. He now heads to the Nets, who will be his sixth team in the last six years.

Actually, it's his 6th team in 8 years, or 4th team in 4 years. Seems like the entire league is sick of his shit.

Dwight Howard is a horrible teammate. This past season while in Charlotte.....chatting with Batum. Asking him how the season was going and he just shook his head. Said playing with him is impossible. If you don’t give him the ball when he wants it, he’ll literally yell at you on the court that he isn’t going to pass to you for the rest of the game. Scream at teammates and coaches in the locker room. Said it was a battle day in and day out dealing with him.

So, in other words, you're the Dwight Howard of this forum?

Stop trying to make EVERY thread all about yourself!

And then 25. And then 27! His contract is awful

For a guy who always seems to have a nagging injury, shoots a lot of 3-pointers, but has shot below league average from 3-point range for four years in a row.

At .336 3FG%, he's not quite Evan Turner bad from 3, but he's closer to Turner (.318) than he is to league average (.362). He was even worse (.324 3FG%) his last season in POR, and that was 4-years ago.

At this point, he's not getting better, just more and more overpaid every year.

And I would be happy to trade Meyers for him.

Gortat says he's 99% sure he'll get traded soon. "The decision has been made by the front office." Says he's anticipating a move to the Western Conference within a couple of days. #DCFamily #Wizards https://t.co/AyuslB52Ie
