If HCP was a mod we would have to come up with a new title like "Deprecater" or "Global Leafblower".
"Deprecator" is not what Sly thinks it is.

I'm sure there will be an influx of new faces, but honestly I think too big of an influx in a short amount of time could really dilute this place - I can see discussions falling off the front page very quickly as the board fills up with new posts, but I guess we'll see.
I bet the guys at BBF are hating life right now (are they still in existence?). And Denny should be thanking them. If it wasn't for the mass exodus this agreement never would have happened. And, kudos to Denny for creating such a great environment for us all.
A lot of people over there seem to be confused by this format of message board, it seems pretty normal to me? I hate the BE style though, it's kind of like Reddit, hard to keep track of who's talking to who etc.
Not at all. They're a great community and the site has lots of content. They're different than us. I also love how they have a ticket drive every year to send a bunch of poor kids to a game.

What separates this site from BE is the "All Things Portland" thread.
BE is a great site, no doubt about it. We fill a different niche altogether. Complimentary.
Since you all can see, Dewayne Hankins is the guy I dealt with at the Blazers. I'm a long time internet and sports guy; I've dealt with several teams before. I have to say that these guys get it.
our crowning achievement:

You did it again, for about the 4th time in a month. Like I said a year ago, Nik often says what I'm thinking but am unable to put into words.
It took me years to stake out this territory. No one dares to tread upon my property.
Maybe Denny can now hire HCP as a moderator. He could just delete any new threads started by anyone with less than 1000 posts.
See....YOU get it!
