Meyers Leonard be like...

Splitter to the Hawks actually makes me happy - I'd much rather LA goes to SA than to the Lakers. See - there are some advantages to giving up early on getting Aldridge back!
I'd MUCH rather he go to the Lakers. The ONLY shot he has at ever winning a title is by teaming up with Pops/Duncan and learning how to be a PF.
If he went to the Lakers they'd never win anything, and I'd get to bask in the schadenfreude of LMA being a loser on the Lakers!

Fucking Spurs.. I wonder what it feels like to always get what you want.

Well thank God we got Aminu!!!!

Thanks for the 9 years bro! Fact is, you would have been 35 at the end of your contract and it was probably time to move on. I've come around to the idea of you leaving, and now its happened. Peace!

P.S. Don't win too many championships :)

Most likely as your ejaculations, this is premature

It ain't over til it's over, but I'd be surprised if that Tiago trade wasn't the final nail in the coffin for us :(

Their comeuppance is on the way. Duncan has maybe a year or two left. Parker showed significant signs of aging last year, and Manu has been a shell of himself for a while. Adding LA isn't enough to keep that team relevant once Duncan retires.

We can still offer Legacy + Most money. Plus we have the room to add better talent than San Antonio can.

San Antonio just has their system. Great GM, great coach, great role players. They have a great recent history.

I still think (and hope) Aldridge chooses Portland when its all said and done. Olshey can sell anything.

What if Aldridge says no to the Spurs? Can they take back the Splitter deal since technically these are verbals and nothing is in stone until they sign July 9th?

...a history of extending careers by 5 years, championships since The Commodores were big...

They won't. They'll just adjust and go after someone else.

Ya because star players don't go to play for the Lakers.

Leonard and Aldridge are two great pieces that have many years left. They'll be fine.

Leonard and Aldridge isn't enough. Neither one of them is a Durant or a LeBron or even a Curry.

"Spurs clear room

30 minutes later:

"LA to make decision fairly soon."

He's a Spur.

I would prefer SA as well. I am already over it.

Yeah if they went in with their usual "media capital of the world bullshit" it would have backfired. Telling him he can be in the movies or having his own radio show is hilarious for a guy who hates the camera and the micro phone.

"You can surf and ski in the same day!"

I wonder if they played stingers for his would-be show: "WELCOME TO THE Y'KNOW ZONE WITH LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE!"
