Haven't watched football in over a decade and even this game has me look at a non-ad boxscore as to make sure no one profits off of it, and even I went "wow." Then clicked off and went somewhere else more important.

;)

It's actually pretty cool. Won't watch but sports is cool sometimes.

Pathetic defenses. Neither of these teams are going to win the super bowl anyways.

I think this shows that you need good special teams. If you can trust your coverage, then you don’t need to just kick it in the end zone. Also being able to punt and cover. When teams are closely match often times special teams make the difference.

If there are only 13 seconds left, can't you simply commit defensive holding of the receivers (or some other penalty) until the clock runs out? It's only a 5-yard penalty isn't it?

1.) It would stop the clock

2.) The Chiefs could have declined the penalty if they made a catch and got some yards.

3.) If you kept doing that and they couldn't pass it and make some yardage, the pennies from that would move them down the field. Maybe close enough for the field goal anyway.

If there’s 13 secs left, you kick the ball short and let the Chief return it to waste some time. Bad coaching from the Bills

If you kick it short they could get to FG range easier. They would probably just call a fair catch to stop the clock.

It doesn't matter if it stops the clock if time runs off. The Chiefs had all their timeouts anyway. The receivers aren't going to catch anything if they're being held. That's the point of holding them.

If there is 13 secs left you play fucking defense

But that's 15 yards each penalty. That adds up. The Chiefs could use timeouts to stop the clock from running down as well and get up the field that way.

Edit: It's only 5 duh.

Mahomes with the clutch win. Gonna get another super bowl. Best qb in the league.

Allen looked good too. A real underdog story with him. Love seeing how great he is getting.

I see that defensive holding is 5 yards.

Edit: In the NFL, a defensive back is allowed any sort of contact within the 5 yard bump zone except for holding the receiver, otherwise the defensive back can be called for an illegal contact penalty, costing 5 yards and an automatic first down, enforced since 1978, and known colloquially as the Mel Blount Rule.
