There goes Wilson's finger

That's the season

If they go with Geno Smith it certainly is. Sean Mannion is better.

havent seen him play. I was impressed with geno when he came in. And that last interception was not his fault. His reaction to the interception showed little poise though. So i question his mindset under pressure. Plus wasn't it the jets he just sucked big time for?

does Sean get a chance when we have an ex starter as our backup im Geno though?

id think hed have to just blow it big time to have another replace Geno?

Mannion has been in the league 5 years. He has started a few games albeit not as many as Smith.
I think you gotta trust the coaches on this one. They have been in practice and seen what the two are doing. Neither are starters any longer really? Just got to go with who is playing better.

Geno's game/skillset is more similar to Russ's, so the playbook probably stays more intact with him than Mannion. And he is the more experienced player, so I agree that Smith gets the nod. Just my personal opinion that Mannion will perform better if given the opportunity. Lower floor, but higher ceiling. With this division, I don't think you can afford to "play it safe".

Guess we will see but i suspect you are correct on the skill set issue.

Great game!
How many in here didnt think Herbert would make make in the NFL. Be honest, we know who you are.
Generational QB maybe?

No question in my mind he would make it in the NFL I saw him make too many incredible throws in college. NFL throws. I thought he would be in the league a long time. He has it all: size, intelligence, athletic ability, and arm.

The thing that surprised me, was how fast it happened. Last year was unbelievable with basically no off-season to get prepared. That blew me away. I thought he would sit a year and learn. He is though lucky though to be in this type of offense.

I thought he was dumb for coming back for his senior season, personally. Thought he was ready then to be a really good QB, and if you are, never risk it with more college. Glad nothing happened, and to see him succeeding. Bummer it came against my Browns today, but it was a really fun game to watch!

I was a doubter; didn't think he deserved to go in the first round. He just didn't seem to make the big play when the team really needed it. Kind of like Baker Mayfield is now.
