They just said 18 consecutive completions.Jones is really stepping up looking decent!
I didn’t get to watch but his stats seem pretty decent. A couple nice TDs. What would you expect from a rookie who was thrown into the game after an injury?Starting to look like the 49ers picked the wrong QB AGAIN!
Trey Lance looked very poor. Mac Jones? Well dude looks legit.

He threw two TDs and his RTG was higher than Wilson’s.I watched and he looked like he was completely out of his league at this point.
I would expect him to perform better than I watched.
Now I would not expect 19 consecutive completions.

Relax, it's early. I hate the Forty Winers, but Lance has all kinds of upside. It's called development. Patience. Most Rookie QB's aren't ready like Justin Herbert was out of the gate. Mac Jones is a nice young man, but has a lower ceiling. Noodle arm QB's can only take you so far. Right now defenses are letting him have his dink & dunk. Soon defenses are going to force him make upper echelon throws. He lacks the arm strength to complete most of those. It's coming. Unless Mac Jones can improve arm strength.Starting to look like the 49ers picked the wrong QB AGAIN!

Again. In your own post you said you didn't watch the game. So now you gonna go all stats and say you think you know.He threw two TDs and his RTG was higher than Wilson’s.![]()
Noodle Arm? .32 release comparable to Tom Brady and you are calling him a noodle arm? That kid is gonna make you look foolish for that statement.Relax, it's early. QBR and RTG are two different stats.Again. In your own post you said you didn't watch the game. So now you gonna go all stats and say you think you know.
The kid looked absolutely lost out there. One TD worth 76 yards was a broken badly missed assignment by the Hawks and was actually a terrible pass that was way way under thrown. The second was a swing play that was run in.
Positive note- He got 41 yards rushing but on the negative he scrambled when he lost composure. Missed open receivers and tucked the ball.
Lets not get confused here. I'm a Niners fan but don't even start to think Lance was ready at all. His actual QBR was 39.4. No it was not higher than Wilsons who was 66.9. Your stats don't tell the story.
By the way when Lance got in, the game was tied. He lost the second half. IMO Jimmy should never have started the season. Trey Lance is the future and they should be finding out already if he is going to be the man.
As i said in my original post "It's starting to look like" because it was about Mac Jones absolutely showing he has the mettle to play in this league. The original statement was not about Trey Lance. It was about Mac Jones.
Naw, don't think so. QB's are my thing Bro. He has a noodle arm. And many experts agree. Nick Wright this morning on Herd was saying the same thing. Release is great, but he lacks the velocity to be special. CB's & Safeties are too smart to keep allowing the dink & dunk to be effective all game. Jones is terrible on 20 yds. or deeper.Noodle Arm? .32 release comparable to Tom Brady and you are calling him a noodle arm? That kid is gonna make you look foolish for that statement.

And another thing. Release has more to do with reading the defense, and making a decision to go where you think the defense won't be. He makes quality quick decisions to check down and be safe. That leads to getting the ball out faster. But the greats, Mahomes, Rodgers, & Brady to name a few, can make those reads and deliver the ball deep with quick release. They have the arms to do that, Jones doesn't.Noodle Arm? .32 release comparable to Tom Brady and you are calling him a noodle arm? That kid is gonna make you look foolish for that statement.
Nobody said they weren'tQBR and RTG are two different stats.
Not going to say you are wrong but I'm also not so sure he won't get better in that area. Doesn't need to be though. A number of the greatest QB's ever were not great over 40 yards.Naw, don't think so. QB's are my thing Bro. He has a noodle arm. And many experts agree. Look I'm not trying to be snarky. I watched the game and was absolutely not impressed with Trey Lance AT ALL.Apparently you did, because I said that Lance had a higher RTG than Wilson, while you quoted back the QBR.
If you want to get into a whats the difference between Passer Ratings and Quarterback ratings i'm game. Believe me when i tell you I'm well versed on the differences. I quoted back the QBR because the RTG was extremely faulty in that game. Of you can't see that (Oh yeah.... "You didn't watch the game?" ) maybe you should pay better attention.
Again Not trying to be Snarky.
Herbert looks like a top 5 QB already.
So many naysayers when he was coming into the league.
I don't think Mario did him any favors.
