Actor Bud Cort passed today at 78. Famous for the leading role in Harold and Maude. Makes me think of Cat Stevens music whenever I'd see him. RIP

RIP Robert Duvall at 95.
I got to spend a Saturday night with my date at the time out with him and his wife around 1984 in Los Angeles at a Latin club with a big Salsa band..he was the nicest dude you could ever meet! R.I.P. His wife was a world champion tango dancer. Beautiful woman. Meeting him I hadn't realized how tall he was. Had to be 6'2 or 6'3.

His bio lists him as 5' 10". Maybe he was wearing cowboy boots with big heels?

I'm 5'11 and he was much taller than me. Maybe at 95 he's shrunken but in when I met him he had great posture...very well could have been boots.

Actor Tom Noonan passed today at 74. R.I.P. He was terrific in The Pledge with Jack Nicholson.

R.I.P. to one of the cofounders of Salsa music from the New York Puerto Rican culture Willie Colon passed at 75...his album Crime Pays is a Salsa classic. He was a master trombonist and arranger who being from New York didn't even speak a word of Spanish when he first started playing Salsa. He is often credited with discovering Hector Lavoe the Cuban Salsa maestro singer. They recorded many of the classics in the genre. I listened to Willie's music constantly while learning to play Salsa bass in our 13 piece Salsa Band in 83...great time of my life. Without these guys we'd never have gotten Bueno Vista Social Club recordings. They paved the way.

RIP to my birthday brother Eric Dane
RIP. I wasn't too familiar with him or his work but I watched the Netflix interview with him with my wife, who's a big fan. Pretty powerful stuff and something I recommend to anyone who's dealing with loss or any type of terminal diagnosis.

My wife is a big fan of his from Greys Anatomy. ALS is a terrible disease. He handled it with grace and dignity.
