Ay my bad man, I figured anybody would see the thread and probably realize the CL final was being talked about.
Damn you FAMS! I clicked on this thread thinking you were doing an in depth analysis of the 2025 USF woman’s soccer roster and upcoming season!!!!

There goes the English National team being disappointing AF again. But it’s okay because Harry Kane scored to make it 1-0 and a win is a win, right?

No reason they shouldn’t get 2-3 in this one with the depth of talent they have.

World Cup Qualifiers vs Andorra

France beats Germany 2-0 in the UEFA nations league 3rd place game.

Portugal Vs Spain for the 1st/2nd place is today at 12:00pm our (PST) time.

Of noting, the most famous footballer of this generation (Christiano Ronaldo) is still starting for Portugal as striker, towards the later stage of his career.

Im 95% sure he’s won a Nations league with Portugal, but this one would mean a lot to him and the Portuguese team.

Spain is a tough club loaded with talent (Portugal has theirs too) so this should be a good match.

Prediction: Full time 1-1, Extra time 1-1, Penalties 5:3 Portugal.

Ronaldo makes it 2-2 in the 61st minute. 8 minutes in to 30 minutes of extra time it remains 2-2

I’m pulling for Portugal and Ronaldo!

This is a historic game for the legacy of Christiano Ronaldo. Looks headed to penalties. 3 minutes of extra time remaining.

FIFA Club World Cup!

Perhaps more exciting than league or continental play, as we get to see teams from different regions - including America (Timbers not involved… MLS represented by the Sounders, Messi and Inter Miami, and LAFC) and other countries.

Currently Bayern Munich are trashing NZ Auckland FC 6-0 at half (Yes Harry Kane and the rest of the Munich main squad are playing).

The Blazers' last SL game coincided exactly with Leeds' first pre-season game (0-0 draw with the hated Man U) - perfect timing!

Looking forward to the upcoming EPL season. Going to be a lot of storylines. Like Liverpool staying top 3 or repeating, especially after Jota’s passing. Going to be a heartfelt season for them.

I do want Leeds to do well (not at Forests expense). I love when a team comes in from promotion and shows they deserved it in the upcoming season. It’s been a rare trend in the EPL. Relegation often goes to the clubs which are newly promoted. Would love to see Leeds stay in good form early on in the season.

I haven’t even looked at any schedules, but that’s when it’s going to matter. Long season and going to be tough for them, but I’m 100% pulling for Leeds UTD this season (except against Forest)

We’re just around a month away.

Name the top 6 Rasta…
Liverpool
Arsenal
Villa
Chelsea
City
West Ham

Much the same, but I think West Ham will have a better season this year. Villa could be top 3. Chelsea’s also had much more success out of league play, so if that translates over to the EPL, then they are going to be in the mix.

Leeds

8/18 Everton
8/23 at Arsenal
8/30 Newcastle
9/13 at Fulham
9/20 at Wolverhampton
9/27 Bournemouth
10/4 Tottenham
10/5—+ Yang Hansen

Leeds would love to have 10-12/21 points there.

Two weeks until the EPL season kicks off!!

Been some movement in the off-season, Luis Diaz is now with Bayern Munich.

Rumors of Ollie Watkins transferring to United (would be a huge blow for Villa)

Newcastle blocked Liverpools bid for Isak

The Basketball Desert from now until Eurobasket will be nicely filled with football for me, and Premier League football, for the first time in 2 years.
Who’s winning the table this year? I don’t think it’s Liverpool.

Is it going to be between Arsenal and City?

Will Leeds avoid relegation?

Y’all better beat Everton at home week 1 or thats a bad omen. Everton are overdue for relegation.

Honestly have no clue. Brentford could be in trouble tho

Liverpool 4-2 Bournemouth yesterday to open the EPL.

YNWA in full force as Liverpool remember Diogo Jota and Andre Silva during their opener at Anfield.

Was a pretty good game. Ekitike for Liverpool got in towards the end of the 1H, and Gakpo made it 2-0 early in the 2H before Semenyo got 2 quick goals for Bournemouth to make it 2-2. All Liverpool in the last 20 minutes as F. Chisea and M.Salah both pick up goals.

Villa fortunate to get out of their opener vs Newcastle with 1 point. Villa was on a red card for ~30m of match time.

Also on the schedule for today

7am
Brighton V Fulham
Tottenham V (Promoted) Burnley
(Promoted) Sunderland V West Ham

930am
Wolves V Manchester City

Absolute stinker for West Ham losing 3-0 to Sunderland.

Tottenham gets their first win since losing their captain Heung-Min Son. But you’ve got to think that was a favorable parting for the Spurs given Sons Stage in his career. Definitely looked in form to start their season.
