I'm so nice to everybody on here, where does all this hate towards me and the Mrs. come form?

First of all, you are not nice to everyone on here. Secondly, No one hates Mrs HCP. In fact I believe if you took a poll no one would give her less than a B for her efforts on road trips

I am very pro owner, so I don't think the same could be said. The owners charge what the people will pay. If you don't like the prices, don't go. The owners put up most all of the risk of their own money. They should ABSOLUTELY make the lion' sshare of the profit
I am very pro worker and generally pro union. In this case however, I agree with you. Paul Allen lost $100 million dollars in a single season. How many players have lost money playing basketball? The owners take all the risk. The players are so out of touch and have such a sense of entitlement it's sickening. I can't wait for one of them to say they make a lot of money because they spend a lot of money.

And if the owners don't like the business then they can SELL THEIR TEAMS. In fact, please, owners, sell "your" teams and fuck off.
Are you being serious? :) If the players don't like making tens of millions of dollars for playing basketball, my local Baskin 'n Robbins is hiring. Or maybe they could play for free. I play for free every week at the YMCA -- well actually I pay to play. Maybe they could do that. I mean, it's all about the game, right? ;)

Wow, many players are getting trolled.

I wonder if they sense who a lot of fans are siding with?

If I knew how to twit, or facebook, or whatever the fuck it is this week, I'd be trolling them too.

Woj......

Stern could call for "postponement" of 1st two weeks of regular season - not a cancellation - if progress warrants more talks, source says.

@WojYahooNBA is on 750-AM now... "They could start the season Nov. 15, play more back to back games, make up the games..." -jc

Reports of meeting over were incorrect. But fear not, I've been assured it's expected to end tonight.

Tell me something important, HCP!

Angry hotel guy yelling at reporters to clear the sidewalk. Good luck with that.

Yes all, the meeting will end tonight. Nobody knows for sure when the lockout will end.

Media chased away from hotel entrance after threat from management to call police.

League officials inform reporters they will let us know when executives are on their way.

Pretty sure if David Stern uses the word "concepts" tonight an entire press core will pelt him with recorders.

Not only hasn't the labor meeting ended, it has entered its fifth hour here in New York.

sheridanhoops.......

Live tweeting tonight from lockout talks in NYC. Sides have been talking for almost 5 hours. New player in the room today: Jim Dolan, Knicks

WojYahooNBA.......

NBA has remained determined in talks today to reconfigure a system that allows for players to accept a 50-50 BRI split. league sources say.

Fuckin hell. I took a nap for two hours expecting to wake up to good news, and they're still at it.

You know why you pay to play? Because you're not very good. You know why people pay to watch the NBA? Hint: it's because the players are good. You know how much money the owners would make off the teams with no players?

Why do owners buy NBA teams? Do you honestly think it's to make money? And if they do, do you honestly want them as your owner? Because Donald Sterling worked out long ago that the simplest way to make money with his NBA team was to pay the absolute minimum.

Owners whining about paying the players a lot of money are like Rolls Royce owners complaining about the mileage.

(Of course, there's an easy way for the Owners to make money AND the players get paid well over 50%: revenue sharing. Jerry "sleazeball" Buss just got a TV deal worth BILLIONS that he gets even if there are no games. But he only got that because of the NBA. If it was just the Lakers playing rec teams, he wouldn't have got that deal. So fair's fair: fork over some of it to the other teams.)
