No indication of progress yet. But continue to hear from sources that some owners prefer to miss season rather than accept bad deal.

daldridgetnt....

FYI: Negotiations will work around BOG meetings beginning at 2. Owners will discuss proposed revenue sharing plan, so can't be put off...

Not certain if labor talks continue if owners on rev sharing committee break for those meetings. If they stop, doesn't mean there's trouble.

Cleveland #1 and Toronto for sure would be up there.
Minnesota, Utah, Oklahoma City, Denver, Phoenix, Sacramento, Indiana, Charlotte, Milwaukee I would think are the more hard line owners unhappy with current CBA and pushing for NHL style reductions.

Miami, Lakers, Knicks, Mavs loved previous CBA.

Planning committee meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. has been postponed until this evening so bargaining committees can keep working.

@wessywes2 time to get back to Portland soon cause its over in a couple of hours

That wasn't Wes' tweet. That was some fan saying it to Wes, who replied: "Im ready."

Players planning a "world" tour. Earning up to 1 million to play. LOL this will sit so well with other union members trying to figure out how to keep their homes and such. Outstanding solidarity, guys.

If I am Stern, and I am asked about this by the media, this is my response

"I think it's fantastic that some of the union's players have the opportunity to earn some money while these negotiations are on going. It's my hope, as a fan of the NBA, that none of them suffer any severe injuries that would cause them to miss any more time than they already are, as well as jeopardize their guaranteed salary once we come to an agreement."

RT @LithuaniaBasket: Nicolas Batum hasn't attempted a field goal attempt in the first quarter, but is already with five assists. Looks good.

Hope this makes the 9th and 10th guys on their respective squad say fuck it and vote to take a deal!

Six hours complete in today's mediation session between the NBA and the players' union led by George Cohen...

Woj.......

Source involved in labor talks to Y! on today's meeting: "No real progress. A lot of jostling, a lot of back and forth...But no progress."

Games to be cancelled for remainder of calandar year soon! Bye bye Christmas games.

NBA spokesman says David Stern left hotel to meet with NBA's Planning Committee meeting, but Adam Silver continues to meet with NBPA.

The longer the mediation continues, the more entrenched in their positions both parties tend to become.

At this point, it's probably time for both side to pull back from the table for a month and see who can bleed the most without making concessions.

Do the star players realize what this sort of thing does to union morale?

Federal mediator George Cohen will be holding a news conference shortly, league officials say

MSG chairman James Dolan has left hotel, deferring comment to mediator Cohen. "I'll leave it to him," Dolan said. Union execs also leaving.

Mediation will continue tomorrow at 2 p.m., says one of the participants.

While there was no major breakthrough, progress was made on the BRI revenue split, two sources in NBA labor talks tell Y!

The "Pumpkin Patch?" At first I thought that was a term of endearment for your little woman. Then I saw our good friend standing behind you in your avatar, all dressed in pumpkin....
