I'm actually hoping for either the Lizard or maybe even Carnage for the next one. In the comics, there was a point where Carnage and Venom were both after Spidey, so I'd love to see them attempt that.

I thought Venom and Spiderman teamed up to beat Carnage.

I'm not really interested in the lizard story, it's too cliche'. Good person, experiment goes wrong, the good person ends up dying anyway. Based off this movie I can definitely see them doing a Carnage spinoff, but I don't know. This movie was very ehhhh.

Yeah they did, but I'm pretty sure it was Venom & Carnage vs Spiderman at first. Venom ended up switching sides.

Still haven't seen it, but I'm downloading it.

Hope it's good quality.

The movie was really good. Although for spiderman 4 as Mamba said, that really would be a good story line to have Lizard Man.

In the cartoons, I loved the Kraven, Chameleon and Doc Oc angles. Carnage in a movie would be amazing, hopefully they put him in one of the movies.

<div class="quote_poster">Mamba Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">BTW, The only time I find Kirsten Dunst incredibly attractive is as Mary Jane. "Go Get Em Tiger" sends shivers down my spine!</div>

I do not find her attractive at all.

Spidey 3 really sealed it for me.

I like how they did Venom, they just didn't give him enough time.

That was my issue with the movie, they crammed too much into it.

They could have made Spidey 3 and 4 with just those characters.

Carnage.....in Spiderman 4!!?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When Spider-Man 3 was being prepped Sam Raimi and Columbia Pictures tried to hold the announcement of Venom for as long as they possibly could... confirming the news just before Comic Con in July of 2006. But here we are, the day Spider-Man 3 hits theaters, and your good pal here has the skinny on who you will see in Spider-Man 4 - with or without Sam Raimi (hater of all things symbiotic).

Before I hit you with the news, let me make it clear that we got this news from a 100% reliable source working on the film. He's the one who told us Venom was the villain in Spidey 3 and nobody believed us. So here you have it, the biggest announcement of 2008... NOW!

Our regular scooper tells FreezeDriedMovies that plans are underway for Spider-Man 4, which were (obviously) set up in the third film. In the third entry, Dr. Curt Connors (played by Dylan Baker) looks at a piece of symbiote with Peter Parker. The movie then travels along it's path without another mention of that "piece" of symbiote. This is the set up for Spider-Man 4 where that small piece of alien symbiote becomes CARNAGE. Yes Cletus Kasady is coming to the big screen, one of Spider-Man most horrifying and evil villains. Not only with Parker have to deal with the red lean mean killing machine, but Connors is set to become the long awaited LIZARD! these two villains have all been CONFIRMED for Spider-Man 4. There is talk of the Black Cat making her first appearance, but that's all but official.</div>
Source

I don't know if this is a reliable source, but if the news is true, then it's going to be crazy. I love Carnage, so I hope the <u>whole</u> movie will be based on him.

I like the news, but not that stuff about the Lizard and Black Cat.

Carnage is too mature for the kiddie crowd that Spider-Man films focus around. If they dumb it down so that it is suitable for children it would ruin the aspect of Carnage's psychotic character from the comic.

Truthfully though, I'm not a huge fan of the symbiote story of Spider-Man comics as I am the original Sinister Six with Doc Ock, Electro, Vulture, Sandman, Hobgoblin and Mysterio.

Yup, I agree here. I believe that in order to show Carnage's true character, the movie would have to be Rated-R, which will definitely not happen.

I actually think that Carnage and Venom are among the greatest villains ever. They're just really badass.

I have nothing against either of them, I'm just a bigger fan of the classics. The Spider-Man series all-in-all has some of the best villains around.

<div class="quote_poster">Mercury Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah I would take them over Joker, Mr Freeze, Lex Luthor etc any day.

You can check them out here.

No worries, I know every character in Spider-Man, thanks. I started reading the comics in 1987 when I was a youngin'.

Also, a better site for finding Marvel-based characters would be here at the Marvel Database. A complete rip off of the Wiki format, but it rocks.

This picture ROCKS!

Oh and for some reason, I hate the Vulture.

<div class="quote_poster">Mercury Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Oh and for some reason, I hate the Vulture.</div>

At your age I hated him too because he looks like some old piece of crap and quite truthfully really not all that cool looking. However, once you read comics with him, you find that he's a genius and one tough bastard. My personal favorite Spidey villain is the Shocker though. Did you know he's the one and only villain with a winning battle record against Spider-Man?

LOL. Who would of thought? I seriously figured it would either be Carnage or Venom. Shocker is pretty badass too, I remember him kicking my ass in the original Spiderman games.

I never read the comics, but I used to watch the old Spiderman cartoons when I was little. I always liked Carnage and Venom, and I think I still have those action figures lying around somewhere...

Carnage is the man lol I'd love to see that character but I agree that it would be very hard to do. I think Hobgoblin should be in one of the movies, I used to love that guy in the cartoons lol. I think they should find a way to fit in Kingpin as well.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I think they should find a way to fit in Kingpin as well.</div>

I got enough of Kingpin in DareDevil. He was a bit lame.

^^Daredevil was lame as a whole. Michael Clark Duncan wasn't a good fit for that role IMO. Maybe they could get a way for Kingpin to hir the symbiotes and fight Spiderman..who knows.

I always thought Kingpin was white...

Or at least that's how he was like in the cartoons

Supposedly there was an interview with someone from 3 that said their character (who appeared to die in the movie) isn't really dead.

M got it spot on. I think they'll butcher Carnage and make him like the Riddler from Batman Forever. It's a shame, because he's like a horror movie character. A psychopath in every sense of the word.

My favourite Spiderman villain is Venom, but my favourite sagas revolved around the Green Goblin (even though they did him terribly in the movies). In the comics, he's at the center of some of the best storylines and his character's just such a menace. Plus he was responsible for the most surprising twist I'd ever seen (the Gwen Stacy "incident").

Also, I really got to disagree with you about the greatest set of villains. Batman's villains are by far the most intriguing and interesting. The Joker alone is probably my favourite villain, but there are so many others (Two Face was done so awesomely).

I really, really hope to God they don't ruin Carnage..he's my favorite besides Venom and Spidey.

Just saw it today. I enjoyed it actually. But I have to agree that they should have had more of Venom. I have a feeling he'll be back though. Gotta wait another 3 years or so for number 4.

The comic book carnage killed everything / body in sight. From ants to dogs to humans he was an insane killer. Spiderman4 would be a Blood and gore movie. Plus its stupid IMO because the character powers are so similar to Venom why put him in? The carnage series is to dark for PG13 audience
