You should put a sign: THIS IS HCP's HOME, THE ENTRANCE IS IN THE REAR. ACT LIKE U KNOW!

Well it took two months. The new gutters go on tomorrow and the exterior of the crib will be complete. New roof, removed furnace chimney, new windows, new porch and front steps, and paint. top to bottom. next up is the basement remodel. Very stressful, but very happy with how it came out.

Funny you should say that. I've always wanted a chill rocking chair on my porch. Thinking of getting one.

And you're all set!

Can't wait for the season to start and I get to come see it in person on gamedays...

I'm actually doing a little bit of a remodel too. I'm in the process of purchasing a 2300 sq ft condo in the Couve. The place is nice, built in 2008 and spacious with the 3 levels. I got it for a really good deal, but the kitchen is outdated. I'm going to gut the kitchen like the counter tops and cabinets. Make it dope as fuark and then get all samsung appliances. My folks did that recently and it looks very sharp. I'm hoping I can swing this all for $10k, or preferably less.

Start getting bids on our basement this coming Monday. Very excited . 98 year old unfinished basement no more!IMG_0783.JPG

Never thought of that really. Always just planned on getting a new bigger TV. Might have to look into that.

Get a 75" 4K OLED TV. Sports and everything else will rock on that thing.

Be sure to have your seating area close to the screen.

Uhhh, dude has a million friends. 135 inch screen, 4k projector and tons of seating.

I know he'd secretly prefer a close in space just in the off chance Meyers has to snuggle up to him but bigger equals better. I wouldn't trade my entry level 1080p BenQ for the best 75 inch tv on Earth.

With projectors on the other hand, things get a bit fuzzy. For starters, many of the so-called 4K projectors sold on today’s consumer market don’t actually even offer real 4K resolution. Instead, they deliver an upscaled pseudo-4K through various types of pixel interpolation tricks. Worst of all, even with these technologies being used, many projector models offer what really amounts to only upscaled 2K resolution from a native 1080p image sensor and only the ability to read and display 4K content sources. Currently, some of the only true native 4K consumer projectors being sold on the market belong to Sony’s VPL line of models. These however are exceptionally expensive, while the pseudo-4K models like Epson’s or JVC’s projectors come priced at levels comparable to those of TVs.

...

One exception to this rule is OLED technology. While OLED TV displays are dimmer than those of many high-end 4K HDR LCD TV displays, their contrast is far superior to that of either a 4K projector display or an LCD screen simply because OLED blacks are total and perfect.

Make sure you have one of these for when BeerBoy is entertaining your wife.

I've never done any real research into projectors, but it seems they clarity was always the issue when I watched something on one. I know there are many factors, but maybe I'll have to check into one.

Here are the actual demensions of the space

Almost done with the kitchen. Well, it's functional. Still need the built-in hutch and built-in benches for the breakfast nook. Plus, we're putting subway tiles on that main kitchen wall once the windows are replaced. Waiting on windows (we're replacing all of them in the house, including basement), installation is two weeks out.

But we got the gutters replaced. Super happy we refinished all of the hardwoods and put new ones in the kitchen.

your BEFORE shot is identical to our current situation.

Kitchen look amazing man!

Thanks, man. Yeah, when you started your thread, I commented that our kitchen was pretty similar. I'll send more after this weekend. Most everything but the tile and windows will be done in the kitchen after this weekend. The wife and I came up with the major concepts, but she's picked a lot of the touches and finishes.

We're even installing a pot filler over the stove. Never had one before, but can't say I don't like the idea. Two months without a kitchen was a bitch, though. No kitchen sink - that was the worst part. Refinishing all the hardwoods was the best thing we've done to the house, though.

All of the kitchen cabinets and wood work are hand done from scratch, too. Dude did an amazing job.
