Any of you feel like changing your predictions?

Its a long season and while the New Orleans game looked promising, I don't think I want to change my prediction. They could get more comfortable and win a higher # than my prediction, and I think Henderson returning will have a more positive impact than some might feel...and two games against Phoenix is just a small sample size, but its not that they're losing, it's how they're losing.

So I'm sticking with 22.

I thought 32 before camp. Felt encouraged on us going over after the preseason but stayed at 32. Now I'm concerned there's a chance we could be under; like way under. I'll stick with my number though.

Reading this thread I am surprised the number of people that had us near .500. Do they honestly believe that or are they just predicting what they hope will happen? I thought it may be possible to be near .500 if we had some lucky breaks, if young guys improve more than we expect, if other teams had injuries and we do not. But that's a lot of ifs and certainly not an average outcome I'd expect. Just as likely we barely get 20 wins.

If the Blazers bomb over the next 5 games it'll basically end any chance of being .500 in my mind. We haven't played any of the good teams and have multiple brutal road trips. Now is the time to stack up some wins if we're going to be respectable.

I'm sticking with 35. Solidly out of the playoffs, but they'll show some spunk throughout the season.

Throughout the summer my realistic guess was 27 wins, with a best-case scenario of 40ish wins. When this thread got made I was riding high on "Oh Boy The Season Is About To Start", so I went best-case. After seeing a few games I'm reminded of why I don't like Terry Stotts, and I think we'll hit closer to 27 than 37 (which is what I think my "official" guess was).

My original prediction was 32, but then I got high on all the estrogen early in this thread, and went with 36. Meh. Still think 32-36. Probably closer to 32. We'll win fewer than that if we go into tank mode, or "developmental" mode. Whatever: We aren't a playoff team, that seems obvious.

42 was my optimal. I do think they can it all the cards flip right, but that includes things with other teams as well as ours. I think Aminu is playing great and looks to be a solid third man for this years team. Also.... were at .500 right now... ;)

CJ and Dame will tire out towards the end of the season guys.

Not if the rest of the team grows quick enough. I am hoping that by All Star break we have solidified our top 8 rotation and a couple of guys like Aminu are taking the pressure off these two.

I think in those first ten games we have a really good chance of going 5-5. I think we could beat New Orleans because they're on a second of a back to back and we're an uptempo team. I think we could steal one of the Phoenix games, and I think we've got a really good chance of beating Minnesota, Utah, and Denver. I think we lose to Memphis twice, Detroit, Phoenix, and the Spurs.

Nope.... they're actually behind where I thought they'd be. But since Memphis looks like ass, we might get one of those games.

Depends when Henderson comes back. I think he is probably going to be a very solid contributor and arguably a missing piece to this puzzle as I believe we are short a scorer in the event CJ, Dame have an off night. G Hen can be booked for at least 15 a night and will be aggressive.

If he is back soon, high 4os is the forecast boys.

Maybe even pushing 5o wins.

2-3 weeks still according to reports. And that maybe just to practice.
Damn...
Oh well, gives CJ enough time to show whether or not he's a starter. (I've already made up my mind, but doesn't really matter what I think.)

Has HCP posted in this thread?

I think I said 31. For now, I'll keep it there, since I said I'm waiting 20 games to really make my true assessment. But, like Nate said, the tough games come up.

Real Talk!

Sweating a tad there HCP?

I hear Stotts uses your posts as bulletin board material to fire up the team.

And your L*kers are 0-4.

Every 10-15 games someone should bump this thread so we can keep tabs.

Bump for what? To remind you that you're wrong about our win percentage? It's like you're rooting for us to lose. You never come in after wins and talk about how great that makes us. It's all losses and how bad that makes us. I still think we have a great team. The wins at Utah and Minnesota were solid wins. Losing Leonard mid-game hurt us tonight. The real reason to "bump" though is to talk about how GREAT Henderson was tonight and how great that makes our team going forward.

Go back and look at the game threads. I went in after the game and gave us props. Read the threads......then post.

And like in the movie the Princess Bride....... you might want to google the word "great"....... I don't think it means what you think it means.

I loved hendo tonight! Breath of fresh air.

What would you like more? CJ starting or as our 6th man?
