I think the Beavers have a legitimate chance to win 10 to 11 games this season. Only one of their four toughest opponents is on the road. Chemistry, and health are the biggest concerns IMO. Chemistry mainly at the QB position with new arrival DJU.

Beavs take 2 of 3 from Utah. We should get a regional I think.

Our strength of schedule is the only thing that could keep us from hosting - all of our nonconference opponents have had terrible seasons. We're really getting screwed by having our conference bye week the final week of the season - we are hosting Western Carolina, and their RPI ranking is in the 200s. Even winning a series at UCLA this weekend doesn't offer a lot of help - the Bruins aren't going to make the postseason.

Losing Hunter from the starting rotation was a blow - but we do have some good arms in the pen that should provide the needed depth in the postseason. I think if we go 4-0 this week, we'll have done enough to get a Corvallis regional. If not, some host team is going to be really pissed to get us as a #2 seed.

...they can definitely rake in the rubs, that game was 7-5 in the 7th and they score 14 unanswered runs to closeout the game!!
