1. Leon Panetta and General Petreaus have just been promoted. Panetta was mentioned specifically tonight and he was nominated last Thursday for the head of the DoD. Petreaus was nominated to head the CIA.

2. The timing of this is quite ideal for Obama, when his poll numbers are at all time lows. He recently had some gains with the birth certificate issue. Nato strikes in Libya yesterday murdered Momar Quadaffi's grandkids...certainly a VERY negative blight which all have essentially forgotten rather quickly.

3. The issue of DNA confirmation? Was a rumor going around but now hearing it was photo confirmation and visual with those in the compound.

4. He was buried at sea within hours of the announcement.

5. A military helicopter used in the operation "crashed" into the compound. The US set it on fire to prevent insurgents from finding the "technology" on the copter. Now the mansion is burning.

Well, my recollection is you being active pre-migration, but I could be wrong. All I've seen from you, though, is "Democrats are bad (but I'm not a Republican, so I'm neutral)" posts. Maybe you'd be going after the Republicans just as much if they had the Presidency, but that hasn't been my impression. I just don't like generalizations, where you impute monolithic positions to entire groups of people, as though they all said or thought that. I do tend to respond to those with sarcasm and I (still) feel it's justified. Is sarcasm real substance? No. But I don't feel like "All you Democrats cried about Bush and now you love Obama, you guys are stupid and naive" is substance either.
 
The best part of this is, people are getting worked up over symbolic nonsense.

Does anyone honestly believe AQ, or islamic extremism in general, are going away because OBL is dead? The real world impact of all this is going to be zero.

I think it is silly to question if bin Laden is really dead . . . but I thought it was silly to question if Obama was really born inthe US.

So what I think is silly and what becomes real politcal issues are obviously independent of each other.

lol oh not me. I have Twitter but just to follow people for Sports news, but dont actually tweet lol. On a semi related note.. were you at the Timbers game towards the top of 104 on Saturday? I have a vague recollection of what you look like from the opener. But I got in late and was passing roses around so I didnt have time to come up and say hi.

Politics . . . would it suprise anyone if hard factual evidence was released before the election proving bin Laden is dead as represented by Obama.

Unfortuanetly Obama is much more of a politician than a "difference," but as a politician, he is pretty good one. Or maybe some people it is easy to make look foolish.
 
He's a good puppet figure, if there were a larger conspiracy at hand. I don't think he could be the type to mastermind it.

Conspiracy theory perpetuated by the left for years: Osama's been dead, and Bush didn't announce it because he and Cheney and Haliburton wanted to continue to profit off the wars and expand them. After all, the wars were all about oil, no? Bush was a liar, right? I mean, help me understand how you could believe all those things then and now believe the current administration (making all those past things you believed to be false).

So now the Obama administration is being transparent and releasing all the formerly confidential cover-ups. bin Laden's body, the FBI's report on JFK's assassination, the UFO technology at Roswell.
