There's talk about moving them to Seattle, I think.

The Seattle Grizzlies.

Meh.....they'd be a Seattle team, and I pathologically hate everything about Seattle.

Surely they'd go back to being the Sonics, but I'd miss having a franchise named the Grizzlies, it's a good name for a team.

Maybe the Jazz could become the Utah Grizzles, and New Orleans could have the Jazz name back?

They'd definitely go back to being the Supersonics and should take their history back from OKC. I never really got to experience the I5 rivalry.

That's how it should be. It'd be quite confusing for a while though.

If I had it my way:
- Memphis Grizzles move back to Vancouver
- Los Angeles Clippers become the San Diego Clippers (they deserve 2 sports teams, Clippers will never be the pride of LA)
- Seattle gets their Supersonics back via expansion.
- St. Louis gets an expansion team (helps fill the regional void left by the departing Memphis Grizzlies, and they just lost their NFL team).

4 team divisions
9 teams make playoffs, 7 get BYES (division winners get automatic BYE), 8vs9 plug-in game.

Northwest - Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Utah
Pacific - Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, Golden State
Southwest - Pheonix, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston
Central - Oklahoma City, Denver, Minnesota, St. Louis

Southeast - New Orleans, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta
Midwest - Milwaukee, Chicago, Indiana, Detroit
Atlantic - Charlotte, Washington, Philadelphia, Cleveland
Northeast - Toronto New York, Brooklyn, Boston

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
(all in fun, of course)

Although the goofy part of me would love to see the Seattle Mobos or RAM or something stupid like that.

Tbh the I-5 rivalry was never really much of a rivalry in my memory. Mostly just a fun, local, northwest "let's have at it" type of thing.

I put way more stock into blazers vs lakers for the I-5 competition. Same can probably be said for sonics vs I-5 teams.

Why though? Lakers fans and the majority of the NBA don't consider them our rivals. Boston is LA's rival.

Good point. I just hate them so much that i make it a big rivalry in my mind.

I wanna see an OKC forum since, if we win, they get HCA. I wanna see these dudes cheering for us lmao.

I love Dame and his attitude about winning a ring but as long as Portland doesn't poach Donovan, I want Portland to keep their star. I'd love if Portland went all the way this year

haha we got crushed, cj and Lillard just went off and we aren't making shots. Happens, just sucks that its going to be so costly. Not to mention that the defense from the Blazers has truly been suffocating. Props to them

Wow they can not run a fast break to save their lives

^ This guy knows Portland sucks at fastbreaks.

Blazers playing lights out defense. Every shot is highly contested.

Yeah I can't hate on Utah fans man.
Tonight it was very clear the two best teams in the Division were playing.
Teams who had their best player leave them.
Teams who didn't add a superstar, or a star.
Teams who were expected to be at the bottom of the division and battling for the 8th seed.
Can't hate on Utah.

Agreed. I thought they'd be pretty bitter about ending their season like this, but I can't find much to fault them with.

They're our sister franchise for sure. If its not us, I hope it's them.
