If I’m not mistaken, our current head coach is Brazilian. The official language of Brazil is currently Portuguese.

I read that he’s also fluent in Spanish after playing in Spain earlier in his career.

I had forgotten this about Brazil, but heard that he also spoke Spanish, so that was the connection in mind.

To think what one could do if one learned serviceable Portuguese and one mingled with the thong-strutting birds of the beaches of Rio with one's wife's assistance and approval??!? Does the dollar go incredibly far there like other S.A. countries? If so, with a few hundred dollars, one could live like a KING and QUEEN for a month! Perhaps armed with a daily course of penicillin, but still!

The language might not be necessary, but would be better to be able to say colorful things in the native tongue.
 
What would it take to get Alvarado NOW?? He would be a great fit on our team.
