Since the post he made about the All star snub... there are some people that have grown tired of him and the 'chip on the shoulder' mentality. Some people call him a diva, crybaby, etc.

I knew that's how it'd look. Boo.

Are you going off reddit? Because I sincerely hope not.

No. But most articles I've read, and message boards that I've seen where they talk about him, he's not seen in the most favorable light.

Now, it's not horrible like a James Harden or a Kobe... and it's not necessarily a bad thing... but it's just something I've noticed.

Welcome to the Internet.

You literally rarely saw this before that post of the all star snub. There was the "Fuck damian lillard" after all the game winners... but that came from the teams' he did it against. This is more of a public thing.

It's nice when you have a player other fans want to hate. That means they are killing em. The whole "likeable personality" shit don't get you anywhere. I think Dame will be voted in by fans before Aldridge and that's because he has that chip on his shoulder.

Look, if a hater has the opportunity to talk, they will. This was just a moment of opportunity for them to step up. They're just trolling for Retweets/Likes.

And that's the thing... Around here, Dame is known as likable, charitable, friendly. Which is ALL true. But outside of here, I think he rubs a lot of people the wrong way. That IG post didn't help matters.

It wasn't on twitter. lol. These are on message boards and comments.

Well, he did.

These guys commenting are just like the Timbertrolls. Guys who would take Ricky Rubio over Dame and crap like that. Don't mind.

That's some fairweather fandom fo ya! Sly said it in another post, winning solves all these issues. Who cares what Laker fans or Knick fans think of Dame. He doesn't deserve the Felton treatment. Personally I like Lillard more than Kobe but I'm a flawed human being so...there's that

You do realize that quote is saying that Adam Silver told Lillard that he deserves it and earned it as a congrats, not the other way around?

Ahh, read that wrong. Thought it was Lillard saying that quote to Silver. Not Lillard relaying what Silver said. Very confusing way to report that message.

Lakers fans LOVE Lillard because he ended Dwight Howard's season last year.

It was Steve Nash that he really took out, ending his career actually
Right. Lakers fans were pissed at Dwight Howard leaving Lakers because "he wanted to win," so when Lillard sent him packing, it was their favorite moment of the season. And in the two games where Lillard destroyed the Lakers this season, they admired him more than they hated him. Lakers fans desperately want Lillard on their team. My source for all of this is Lakersground.net.

That's where people outside of portand dont get to see Lillard as. As a loyal guy. I have my reservations as anything can happen, but I truly think he's gonna be a Blazer his entire career. His loyalty doesn't seem to be non-authentic. If that's even a word.

I agree. If we keep talent around that allows him to win, he'll spend his whole career here.

Maybe my memory is clouded but I have this image in my mind of Magic Johnson smiling and having fun when he played. Maybe he was just thinking about getting some after the game or whatever. Lillard can do anything on the court any time he wants when he is healthy, I just worry playing up a persona is going to backfire.

I just want him to show people, not tell them. I've been a bit turned off by the Blazers since Lillard did that stupid bow and arrow thing just before he started sucking from three. Seems mental to me.

100% agree.

I'm getting so tired of this. Even "fans" are bitching about his attitude.

It's that same attitude and desire that took an unknown player from a little known college to the NBA. It's the same attitude and desire that made that player ROY. It's the same attitude and desire that lead him to sink the .9 shot against Houston.

This is NOT the attitude of a player who is me first. He is a great teammate and he puts the team first. I like his attitude. It's the attitude of a winner.

I agree, it was worded very confusing to me as well

A little bit goes a long way. He isn't an underdog now. Confidence is great, I just don't want it to go too far. Once you get a bad rep it is very hard to turn the perception around.

What bad rep does he have?

Too many Special Olympics fans around here. Everyone deserves a trophy!

He's not talking shit about anyone. He's publicly demanding more from himself.

"Why does he publicly rap on Fridays? Doesn't he know that's too gangster?"
