The perception of Dame outside Portland...

Mike Conley??? Tony Allen is referring to the Mike Conley who's averaging less points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks and who has a worse PER, value added and estimated wins added? Yeah I'm sure a letter is the reason, Tony.

Maybe they should ask why OKC has two players, not Portland.

Tony Allen is too busy getting dem checks to pay attention to things like stats.

My thought is that he just thinks the letter that he wrote on IG was a bitch move.

I can see why, but fuck em. Dame can do what he wants. Specially if he keeps on throwing those nasty dunks on people.

What I don't understand is how it's ok for everyone and their mother to say he was a snub when the lists came out, but he can't make a comment?

7 of 45 is abusing the hell out of a slump. 7 for 21 would be enough to convince anyone your in a slump.
7/21 is 33% shooting, which is decent for 3-pointers, so it wouldn't be a slump at all.

Do you understand how you get out of a slump?

Hint: it's not by passing up shots you would normally take.

I will quote a great coach I had the good fortune to know. You win games by taking the shots you know you can make. You improve your shooting in practice.

I hope opposing fans hate his guts. He'll never be voted on to the All Star team by fan vote anyway, so who really cares how he is perceived by fans of other teams?
After Kobe retires, he has a great chance of being voted in by fans. He was ahead of Westbrook and Klay Thompson this year. If he kicks ass in this year's playoffs, he has a great chance.

he's made the shots he's missing... that doesn't make sense....

WTF?
Look, nearly everyone of the team shoots the 3 ball better than Damian! And he leads the team in 3 point attempts.
Some thing wrong with that fact and it begs the question of just what the hell does he know?
Let us not confuse know and hope, Hope don't win much.

So, he can make the most 3's than most anyone in the league within the first 3 years of his career, then it becomes a bad shot. I mean, that makes complete sense.

So, these 45 shots that he's sucked at, he should have just known? That's why he's been shooting 60%+ from 2 during his 'slump' from 3? I mean, what an idiot! He should TOTALLY know better.

Damian knows he can make those shots. Why, because he has. And are you insinuating that Damian doesn't practice shooting? It's just a slump, get over it.

Lillard can make the shots he's taking and everyone knows that. Just because he's been cold for the last 50 attempts doesn't mean he can't return to form. BTW, there is a lot more to him than stats and 3-pt % after a slump.

Emotions clouds logic, which is evident.

I thought Tonys tweet was more of a joke. Doubt Tony Allen would say Lillard isnt deserving but you can bet he will also say that Zbo and Mike and more deserving then LMA and Lillard.

IMO, Lillards' slump from 3 is his shot selection. The whole teams shot selection has been bad, but particularly Dames'.
He's not setting before firing, typically leaning from far out. He's been jacking ridiculous long range shots. You don't half set the offense to then jack up a leaning 27-footer.
I'd like to see him step in on those long bombs - and I know they're within his range - but that extra foot could make all of the difference to his percentage.

Not sure whether Damians' 3-ball woes are mental fatigue, physical fatigue or a bit of both (most likely).

Ultimately, I think Dame will come good. The All-Star game will be a shot of confidence for him. We've seen him shoot the 3-ball well, and with some new found confidence and hopefully a few days rest around the All-Star game - He'll come good.

Lillard's slump is really hurting his trade value. He's only worth two Conley's now.

Honestly, why should I care what a rocket fan thinks about him? Or a laker fan?

Does it keep laker fans up at night because people make fun of Kobe?

A few of y'all need to get a grip

This. His shot selection has been terrible, and worse he's been rushing his shots, shooting without getting set, etc. I thought the coaches showed players videos of themselves? It's almost like he bought into his own hype, and now thinks everything he throws in the direction of the backboard is going in. It isn't.

His slump could be curred quickly by a word from Lamarcus, just as Bill Russell advised KC Jones during an important game.
"The next time you feel the need to shoot one from the parking lot, just pass the ball to me".

If I know Terry Stotts (and I don't) he just has the team watching Mel Brooks movies rather than game film. It's because he's a player's coach and he just wants them to like him.

Yeah, but Kobe's an asshole. Lillard is not.

Outside Portland here. My take...

All Star team means bigger paycheck, and wanting to be the best player is a good thing.

The West is stacked. The fans choose the starters. He's a fill in, which is still an honor, though probably where he sits in the all star ladder.

Well a thread that addresses what non Blazer fans think of Dame quickly morphed into what Portland thinks of Dame...damn. Give the kid a break! He's amazing! I could care less as I've stated earlier here what other fans think of the Blazers.
