More of the practical day to day effects for the next 5-10 years (after which I think we'll forget this all and move on).

Like after 9/11, airport security got all jacked up and strict.

What do you think is going to happen?

Are people going to be more cold, distant and standoffish?

Also, on the job front....they have really showed how dispensable basically everyone is. Will people be less loyal to their corporations and companies after seeing how when shit goes down, they will be left in the dirt?

I may keep more practical survival stuff in my storage locker. Get masks, sanitizers, etc. I have a bidet toilet, so I don't use that much TP to be honest.

May try to buy some heavier duty masks too...like industrial

I'm hoping people stop being filthy.

I've bitched for years about businesses that lock their bathroom and give you a key on a piece of pipe or wood.

Once I had to pick up my wife at the airport and stopped at a gas station on the corner of Tropicana and the airport and I had to go.

Lady handed me the key and I took it...opened the bathroom and set the key down. Washed my hands and then went to the bathroom.

Washed my hands again after I was done and opened the door with a paper towel and leaned in and grabbed the key with the paper towel.

Walked back up front and handed her the key still holding it with the towel.

She took it from me and THEN asked if I dropped it in the toilet or something.

I said no, they probably hand this key to 500 people a day and I have no idea what they did with it or if they washed their hands.

She looked horrified and I said " I bet you get sick all the time don't you?"

She said yes...I said there ya go.

This. My favorite one was leaving the stall at the same time as another guy at Sunset Station. Dude walked right out without washing his hands. I washed my hands and walked out and he was with a bunch of middle aged women.

I caught one of the women's eye as I walked by and rubbed my hands and whispered "he didn't wash his hands" and shook my head no.


She looked sick...I laughed. I'm an asshole but that shit is nasty.

Jesus this just reminded me. My wife likes to point out people who pick their nose when we are at a stoplight.

I've looked and watched people young and old and everything in between pick their nose and eat it.

I hardly wash my hands when I take a piss. I wash my dick plenty though so if anything I should be washing my hands first so I don’t get my dick dirty. Plus I piss outside more than indoors because I work out in the middle of nowhere everyday. I always wash in public restrooms though because they are nasty.

There is a scene if Shape of Water where Michael Shannon takes a leak in front of the cleaning women and he washes his hands first. Then he says something about his daddy said you can tell a man by whether he washes his hands before or after he goes number 1.

Something like that. I found it odd and never really thought about it.

At work I wash my hands before and after. My hands are like leather and I won't notice if I have something that would burn the more delicate parts.

My wife has hand sanitizer on a chain hooked to her purse. She says gross and makes me use it.
