Portland has 9 games left btw. You're record is right, but 5-3 isn't.

I have Portland closing 6-3
51-31, 3rd seed.
I have OKC closing 5-2
49-33, 4th/5th/6th
I have Jazz closing 7-1
49-33, 4th/5th/6th
I have Spurs closing 6-2
49-33, 4th/5th/6th
I have Pelicans closing 4-4
47-35
I have Minn closing 3-5
45-37

I don't know the tiebreakers between the three tied teams. Nor do I really want to look them up.

I meant 5-4 for Portland(I'll edit that). They can go 6-3 but I want them to win exactly 50 so I can win the prediction contest. I know I am selfish. I think Portland could go 6-3 for 51 wins. With Baby Dame coming I think he may cost of us an extra game though.

Minnesota has by far the easiest remaining schedule. 3-5? Even without Butler they can finish the season strong.

Spurs won't finish the season 6-2

Jazz could go 7-1 but I think somehow they will lose 2.

If another team does get to 49 it will be the Jazz.

Your final records with tiebreakers mean it would be

1.)Houston
8.) Minnesota

2.)Warriors
7.) Pelicans

3.) Blazers
6.)OKC/Spurs

4.) Jazz
5.) OKC\Spurs

*Spurs\OKC tiebreaker will be decided Thursday when the Thunder visit the Spurs at home.

Both OKC and DEN have brutal schedules to finish the season.

Yes, not even remotely worried about Denver. They can enjoy their summer. OKC is going to have a time not staying out of 8th.

True. We own virtually every tie breaker and will be division champions so its its all moot anyway. I want 50 exactly because that was prediction in the prediction thread.

I want 55 wins 'cause that was my prediction over in O=Live. I've got a feeling I just might be a few short.

Why couldn't they have played like this earlier in the year? Huh? Why?

I hate this. If it works out this way I want us to drop a couple of games on purpose to play Pelicans instead of Jazz.
On purpose? That's not going to happen. Lack of effort and focus maybe.

We don't need 50 wins for 3rd seed. 49 is going to be enough, maybe even 48 with a bit of luck.
We MUST get 50. Because it's a nice round number that ends in zero. It's just like the significance of the number 10 when talking about statistics. Nine means nothing. You're only good if you get 10 of something. Or 10 of three things. As we all know, nine of three things is meaningless. If you get three 10s, you're a superstar. Three nines, and nobody knows your name.

But I ramble.

Go Blazers!

We got this.

Watch, I said this a couple weeks ago on here. It will come down to the last game against the Jazz. If we WIN, we would have to play them, if we LOSE we get Nola...... what do you want to happen?

Well if you're right on this one, it will be the first time all season. So, I suppose you're due...

Blazers will win 40 games, OKC has too much talent not to "figure it out", Lonzo Ball will be a "special player", etc.

Something about a blind squirrel comes to mind...

Hmm I went back and looked at Minn's final games. Dunno why I said 3-5 being that I had their schedule infront of me last night too.
Maybe I was just sleepy who knows.
Thanks for figuring out tiebreakers and such Craig.

Hey, are you forgetting that @HCP is 6-5 in his predictions so far on his handwritten W and L post? He'll try to claim that as pretty good.

Spurs would own the tiebreaker as you have them beating OKC so they would be 5th and OKC 6th

You're definitely overrating the Jazz.

3rd: POR 51-31
4th: SAS 49-34
5th: MIN 48-34
6th: OKC 48-34
7th: UTA 47-35
8th: NOP 47-35

IDK Jazz have to be favored in all of their home games.
Only reason why I have them dropping to GSW @ home. I figure GSW will be playing everyone but Curry @ that time in prep for round 1.
If GSW isn't ready they're going to get blown out by Utah again.
I'd favor them over Minn & Lakers on the road.
@Portland I could see them losing, but... I don't think Portland will be playing everyone at this time.

Minnesota are out of the race for 3rd already, they won't go above us. So it's basically Thunder, Pelicans and us who can finish in the top 4.

We have this sorted.
