"Just to be clear; they still want to trade Gordon for CJ" ukrainefan

that part sounds more like a statement of fact thus the reason I was asking the question. I didn't know if it came from a forum, a friend or some other source.

Except you left out the question mark, which leads me to mistrust you. The question is for Tpup; I think the sequence of the posts is quite clear.

well, the question mark seemed to be aimed at the second part of your statement where as the first part came across as a statement of fact. and thus I asked a question. Sorry for inconveniencing you and not sure what any of my posts had to do with trying to get you to trust me. I never made a statement of fact.

Yeah, no way that happens during the season. I’d love to be wrong though.
Well if the goal is to create a better cap situation this summer then trading him during the season does make some sense. Like you I don't believe Olshey would actually pull the trigger right now.

Just to be clear; they still want to trade Gordon for CJ, but want to give us a pick instead of another player?

It sounds like they aren't interested as much in Gordon for CJ but would rather move lesser parts and include a Draft pick of which they have one 1st and two 2nd round additional picks in addition to their own between now and 2020.

@hoopsjock was correct in his interpretation but now I can't find his interpretive post. The Ringer was just a story of what a writer thought would make sense. Knowing Orlando would like to make some changes, I reached out to someone who is in the loop for certain trade discussions around the league. He indicated the above....that ORL would likely be interested in CJ but with a 1st round pick as the main piece coming back to Portland along with possibly a lesser piece or two for talent.

Sacramento and Orlando both send their picks to Portland. Or Sac sends their pick to Orlando. No fucking way Olshey does this, but I would.

Thanks for the clarification. So as far as we know, Portland has no interest in anything Orlando has, but Orlando is interested in CJ.

Sacramento doesn't have a 1st this year. It's unprotected to Boston (or Philly if it's #1) unless you meant a 2nd round pick (Sacramento has Orlando's pick lol).

Do you prefer that or the same 3 team trade idea I had that cuts a ton more salary?

Fuck I forgot about Sacramento’s draft pick.

That’s why I like this site (tradenba) better, they list the picks.

edit: You know what, nevermind. Sacramento isn’t giving up enough. Forget I said anything.

Do you think the Kings would take on Turner if they got Vucevic with no picks either going out or coming in?

Yeah, I think Orlando and Sac would do that. Should be obvious to Portland too, but you know..
We'd only have $69,244,435 on the books this summer if we waived Simmons or $73,944,435 if we kept him. That would open up a ton of possibilities this summer.

You must like to keep us guessing. How about Portland won't trade CJ unless they can get rid of Turner in the same trade? That would make it difficult for you to come up with CJ trades. Or Portland won't trade CJ if they have to take any excpensive contracts back?

Here, I think this is a little more simple. I don’t think Orlando would be excited about taking on Meyers.

Sac gets Vuc but they have to take on Meyers.

We get Orlando’s pick.

Bada bing bada boom.
I would want one of Sacramento's 2nd rounders in that but not bad!

40 million in cap space, and you have me like oh! we can land KD or Kwahi or Butler!
The realist in me envisions 2 20 million dollar deals to individuals deserving of 10

I would target Middleton or Brogdon from Milwaukee (or of course inquire for one of the guys you mentioned) and if we just get one we'd basically have replaced CJ while dumping two other bad contracts and getting a potential lottery pick!

Too forward thinking, get lost nerd.

Brogdon is so great. He has scored all but two of his free throws this season (over 98% I believe) is and is such an intelligent player. Bucks can match any offer he gets though and unless he gets something crazy like $60million for three years (a team like Atlanta or Kings could do it) they will match anything. I think Milwaukee will want to keep their entire core.

I cant really divulge everything. I would if I could.
