The genius of MAGA is that it harkens back to a mythical time when America was snowy white and taxes didn't exist. Also, Trump's appeal (so they tell me) has been based on the idea of current America as a steaming shitpile. His fucking INAUGURATION speech mentioned "carnage" and "tombstones". The shining city on a hill was in fact shining because it was on fire and radioactive. That gives him 4 years to make everyone forget that. And in particular, his guys, the ones in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, the ones who got him elected, better have all got high-paying jobs making coal-burning giant monster trucks by then.
