The S2 Mixer Thread

While we already have the Welcome Forum, various introduction threads in the team forums and the Random Thought Thread, I thought we should have a central place to mix and chat so welcome to the S2 Mixer. This site has a lot of forums and there is the potential for people to get stuck in their own silos, so I'm encouraging everyone to meet everyone.</p>

3. Provide one random fact about yourself. I have recorded a triple double, a hat-trick (in Rugby League and Union) and still to this day hold a record at my high school in the 100m breastroke. Also I captained 5 sports my senior year in High School (Athletics, Swimming, Rugby, Australian Rules Football (like Gaelic football with more contact on a cricket sized field) and BBall)

My favorite sport is actually Baseball, though I've been following the NBA a lot closer in recent years. For some reason, I fell like every american sport but baseball has suffered to a great degree as its matured: NFL is too well rehearsed, NBA the court is too small and basket too low, etc.</p>

My favorite non-sports topic is probably politics, though I am a musician and love to play my various instruments (drums, bass, guitar, and piano/keyboards). At some point in the near future, I'll probably focus some on getting S2 a nice politics discussion forum going.</p>

Random fact: While you see my programming work here at S2, I spent decades as a video game designer/programmer for companies like EA and Activision.</p>

Provide one random fact about yourself? I'm Albanian from Kosovo, have been living in the US since '99. (for anyone that doesn't know Kosovo is in the balkans, southeastern europe, north of greece and to the east of italy)</p>

Basketball is without a doubt my favorite sport, both NCAA and NBA teams. I like watching football as well. Im going to get crap for this, while I love going to baseball games, I hate watching it on television.</p>

2. What is your favorite non-sports topic? </p>

I am a huge politics junkie and love current events. I am very up-to-date on my surrounds and after checking my email in the morning the first site I visit is drudgereport.com and read the daily news. I give Matt Drudge a lot of traffic and probably check his site 3-4 times a day.</p>

3. Provide one random fact about yourself?</p>

I helped start JustBBall.com when I was 14. I am also very involved in student leadership at Texas A&M.</p>

Video games or movies. I'm an avid gamer. I play everything. ANd I love movies.</p>

I've worked with EA Sports on a few projects and they've picked my brain before to make Madden better. IMO it still kind of sucks since they don't add some of the stuff i've suggested</p>

English, Albanian fluent. Serbo-Croatian, Bosnian somewhere around 75%, understand it close to 90% though, and currently learning German, which is my favorite language, love it how it sounds.</p>

Provide one random fact about yourself: about 3 years ago a friend dared me to eat 22 snack packs of chocolate pudding in one hour. somewhere in the middle i threw up straight chocolate, but kept going and finished. to this day i have not eaten chocolate pudding or even plan to. this has no connection to being kid chocolate.

   I've been a Syracuse Orange fan all my life. I'm in love with the team (no homo).
   I had hopes of going to SU out of high school, but haven't out of financial reasons, and still might not.
   Ever since idk when, maybe about 10, I've been to an SU game every season, except the last season, because my fucking community college canceled the trip. Damn them!

I knew about the fact that it was only off-campus, but I was curious how popular the off-campus event was.</p>
