Lol, you WISH the Raps would lose to the Blazers.

jk just had to joine the trash talk.Your SF cant score 5-10 a night if you want to advance deep in the playoffs.:
Trevor Ariza averaged about 9ppg for the Lakers last season and they won the title. Also- how many points did Bowen average during the last 3 Spurs championship runs?

As has been pointed out several times over the summer, Batum's 3P% of .369 is very, very close to Webster's career mark of .372. So, to say that Webster's a significantly better shooter is fallacious.
While I agree that Webster is not a way better long ball shooter, he did shoot almost twice as many three pointers in his last season than Batum did last year.

...and then played like a HOF in the playoffs...not saying your wrong about your point...just that Ariza was far above season averages in the playoffs in efficiency
You can get away with your SF scoring 10 + if you have 3 elite scoring options but the blazers dont. Therefore you need production from your three unless oden starts getting 20 a night. Thats not gonna happen.
Did the championship Pistons have three elite scoring options? Their third best scorer, Rasheed, averaged 13.7 ppg that year. Prince averaged 10.
Only 1 (Paul Pierce) of the past 11 championship teams have had a starting SF who scored more than 10.5 ppg.
Aside from Pierce, you have to go all the way back to Scottie Pippen to find a SF who was a #2 or #3 offensive option on a championship team.
I was actually kind of stunned when I thought it through myself. Some championship teams have a great center. Some a great PF. Some a shoot-first PG. Sometimes two elite players (Shaq/Kobe), sometimes one and two really good ones (Kobe and Gasol/Odom), and even once no really great players (Pistons). Some great coaches, but not always.
But almost every time over the last decade, through a variety of different offensive and defensive styles, is the defensive role player small forward who hits the occasional three pointer.
The Hedo acquisition always rubbed me the wrong way, and it does more now than ever.
