Still unclear how Cleveland ended up with Jarrett Allen. What else did they give up besides Exum?

Also unclear why Cleveland targeted Allen when they have Drummond. They also have Javale McGee.
Both UFA after season and want to go with Allen and the youth movement.

This is a good trade for CJ, with Harden now in the Eastern Conference, even better chance of making the All-star team this year.

Garnett was 37, pierce was 36 at the time of that trade. Harden is 5 years younger than they were. I think there's a huge difference in trading for a superstar in their prime and trading for 2 players at the tail ends of their careers.

Sure but let's not pretend that this is prime Kyrie and Durant.

This is Durant at 32 fresh off a major injury and this is Kyrie having some kind of mental breakdown. Plus you toss in fat Harden and you have a real recipe for disaster with the Nets mortgaging their future once again.

The thing is that their future isn't actually mortgaged. See most GMs aren't afraid to admit that they're wrong (fuck Olshey). So if this doesn't work out this season then you can go out and get Simmons for Harden and something great from whoever is willing to take on Kyrie's crazy ass. Oh and I don't know why you would bring up KD's Achilles... that shit looks perfect.

James Harden with a triple-double, 30p-11r-14a, in his Nets debut.

I really hope Olshey truly explored trading for Harden, including trading CJ. Harden would have made it so much easier for Dame.

Narrator: he did not.

If CJ had a game like that Olshey would’ve come out of hiding and made himself available for an interview with Brooke.

If it does comes out that Olshey didn’t even engage in talks with Houston, then there is no hope for this franchise until he is gone. Might as well blow it all up and start over than languish in mediocrity.
