What's the risk? Every day he is on the team is the equivalent of bareback sex with a hooker of uncertain gender, a wet cough, and visible chancres.
How many teams does this guy have to poison before somebody says "oh yeah - maybe it IS his fault!"
We get to our hotel in LA Tuesday late afternoon. I bet you we will see him waiting in the lobby for us.
The first sign of recruiting.
I just don't see it. Unless we have somebody on this staff who is connected with his past and knows how to motivate him. Anybody on the Blazers staff have a connection to Syracuse?
I hear George karl is available.

Our second unit would fit him perfect. He’d be surrounded by shooters and playmakers.
'Cause they think they can make one of the best even best-er?With the Blazers second unit arguably one of the best in the league why would they even consider bringing in Melo?
If it ain't broke you don't fix it.'Cause they think they can make one of the best even best-er?
Please, Melo was a ball stopped anywhere he played. His problem now is that he is a ball stopper that does not get the ball enough to dominate and does not play any defense.
Only use I can see for him on the Blazers is as a model for Meyers hoodie clothing lineup.

I agree with you that any good team with good team mates can make a player better. But Melo has a pretty bad reputation as far as winning goes? That’s not really true though. He’s averaged 3 APG for his career. That’s more than CJ, who’s a guard. It’s only recently that he’s become a black hole.
10-3 and second in the Western Conference says it isn't.The fifth spot on the second unit is broke.

Is motivation really the issue? To be fair to him he’s played under some really shitty coaches recently.
What system does Donovan run? It’s pretty much just iso Russ. Even George is less efficient than he was in Indiana.
Melo has had issues with D’Antoni in the past as well and that super uptempo style doesn’t really fit his game.

Yeah the last year and change haven’t been good but it wasnt that long ago that he was still an above average starter. To have him on our second unit for the minimum would be a move worth considering. And about this narrative that he’s a cancer and selfish? If you look into it you’ll find that most everyone loved playing with him. Knicks players voted him teammate of the year his last season in New York.
I’ve come around on the idea again, but I guess this time I won’t really care if it doesn’t happen.
Right now, Jake Layman is a better baller than Melo.
Jake will be them next big surprise on this team.
Melo is a four now because he's slow and they only rely on his shooting. Yeah, Layman is a three but he can play the four as effective as Melo at this point in his career.Jake is a three. Melo is a four. And I’m not expecting Harkless back anytime soon so there’s room for both.
The players whose minutes would be sacrificed would be Meyers and Biggie. Somehow I’m ok with that. That’s about 20 minutes right there. The rest of the minutes can be spread out without making a dent on anyone’s time.
Man, it would be hilarious if Melo ends up on the Blazers after 450+ pages and 3 teams...
