I keep watching Carmelo videos, and not understanding what he's saying. It's not from Shaq-like slurring. It's his use of big phrases to say nothing.

He says that he came here because everything was "established from the gate." Which doesn't answer the question.
He says, "Don't surprise me." Which implies that he doesn't required starting, as long as the GM tells him that he may not start, before signing him. If left unstated, he requires starting.
I have to guess at what he means in every video because of his fancy phraseology, defensively dancing around each question without touching it. Is this the famous Melo defense?
