Nothing he is doing except maybe the super high efficiency of the last 3 games is any different than what he's doing his entire career so I don't get what "Melo things" will start happening?
Ball hogging, spotlight hogging, petulant whining, coach-killing sandbaggery, the list goes on...

Nah man, his passing numbers with the Blazers are basically in line with what he's done his whole career. His reputation is worse than what's actually happened in his career.

Nope. His teams lose. Reputation earned.

Where he hurts the team. Im still waiting for that.

My hope is in dame, and thats a lot of hope, so im not too worried but reversion could happen.

I’ll say it AGAIN.....”Melo things” are a fuck of a lot better than “Mario and Tolliver things”. ALL day EVERY day.

I wasnt saying that fams. I am talking singularly about melo.

I understand that. But who gives a crap if he does Melo things..... it’s better than what we had before. No risk taken in this experiment.

Oh i get that. Its just a totality type of thing.

Yeah cause the Knicks franchise has been so good other than the years Melo made them lose.

OKC did so much better the year after they got rid of him.
I could take that a bit further and say Houston didn't really try to work it out. They pretty much quit on even trying. I kind of think Harden is tougher to play with than Melo? I could be wrong? Harden is a very talented player so maybe he deserves better? But there is starting to be a list of players and he is on his third coach in Houston. Fourth coach if you include Billy Donovan. Still no ring and their playoff success is a bit sketchy? Like i said. I could be wrong here on Harden. It's tough to win a Chip in the NBA.

No they didn’t. They won 1 more game and lost in first round in 5 instead of 6.

Also Melo took Knicks to second round and Denver to the WCF.

Melo led Team USA to 3 gold medals and was the best player in the games ..we got Team USA Melo

A 3 game sample size doesnt tell us anything.

When the season is over, then you can say this. Until then, its way too small a sample size to say its whatever melo.

winning tells me enough....but I realize you must find the devil's advocate spin somewhere ...when's the last time you enjoyed Blazer basketball Stren? You've got a theme going that's not a small sample size.

C'mon @KingSpeed, if you're gonna quote me don't take my posts out of context. I was showing that those teams weren't better off without Melo.

Enjoyed? Hmm... Probably the playoffs. You know, when I lost my voice for 3 weeks.

Pretty good sample size.

Still waiting on constitency from this team. Once it happens, I'll be more excited. Until then, its a wait and see and making sure others dont get too far ahead of their skis on 3 games.

30 game consistency? Sure. Im on board with the fandom. 3 games? Wait and see. Its not fairweather, its just not buying into things because it was good for 3 games. Theres a difference.

But thats okay, im comfortable where I'm standing.

Also, the only small sample sizes that matter are in the current playoffs. Not the past. Thats for the media to brainwash folk...

If Melo was such a huge headcase, why would his teammates seem to love him so much?

What if the three games were awful and he was terrible and we got blown out in all three games? Would you say he was shit? Or would you say you wanted to wait 30 games?

Personally, Id say I wanted to see more if he played epicly bad, epicly good, or somewhere in between, sure if it didnt go well for 5 games Id have some confirmation bias going on, but I think its still a fairly small sample size, and the competition hasnt been great. It’ll be super interesting to see how things go.

That only applies if we hold the team to an average standard.
