Whiteside was a league leader in rebounds and block shots until Covid. With Nurk back, clearly there wasn’t a good use of him nor did the twin towers experiment work well [with Nurk] and I’ll even say he pouted a bit during the bubble games. That said, there are teams that can use a big - and I’ll say as many as a dozen teams. So I disagree that he’s a dinosaur. I predict a sign & trade is more likely than simply letting him go for nothing.

I think the vet min for him would be 2.5ish, so we could in theory sign him to a contract at about 3, without using the BAE(120% of his previous contract with us), as a non bird free agent. Hopefully he leaves the 500K off the table
