I hate having anyone on the Lakers that I’ll root for, but I do now. I’m glad Melo got his shot back in the league with the Blazers. Now here’s hoping he plays 40 a night for the Lakers.
I'm a fan of Melo now...especially the work he does outside of basketball..he deserved the Social Justice Jabbar trophy....his podcast is very informative and in tune with issues of the day..Ive listened to all his interviews...I also respected him as a good teammate and guy who would engage with the rookies on the bench. Nas and Trent learned alot from him...I still wish he was a Knick though

I loved watching Carmelo out there. Class act, showed up to play every night, hit a ton of big shots and when he got going he was awesome. He came to Portland and made the most of it. Also pro tip: if you want stars to ever come here, when one does regardless of their age, ones who are universally respected by players, maybe don’t tell them good riddance and fuck off.

Nah he needed to be off the team.

No ragrets.

Yup. One of our only bench players is gone. Dame can't be happy with that. They seemed to become close. Melo has a lot of clout in the league with other players.

i don't think anyone hated melo as much as the role he was given. the constant focus on his climb up the scoring list was also annoying.

Sure. Fine. What does that have to do with what I wrote? I said when a guy leaves maybe people shouldn’t say good riddance and fuck off. For absolutely no reason too. And a hall of famer.

Because nobody is loved by 100% of people. When Dame leaves there will be people who say good riddance and fuck off.

OH MAN... he's a hall of famer. Shoot I must never heap dispersion upon him.

He wasn't good for our team most nights and a liability. Love the person he is but as the player I won't miss him for a second.

I can bifcurcate!

Appreciate his contributions while here and wish him well. While silently thanking the stars that I don’t have to watch him and Kanter on the defensive side of the ball at the same time again!

CJ also commented on it:

"Enjoyed our time together my guy. You got one more day to ignore my FaceTimes before I pull up on you at your crib @CarmeloAnthony..."

And Norm:
"Yessir OG, was a childhood dream fulfilled to shared the court with you brotha."

And our friend Dia:
"Well I didn't want to cry this morning... You will be so greatly missed on this team. Guess I'm gonna have to finally go watch a Laker game now. Wishing you the best of luck."

lol

I don't pay much attention to social media, but I have to ask: who exactly is this Dia gal and how did her opinion become a thing? I'd never heard of her prior to Billups

I am glad we've gotten the responses of the real big 3.

Maybe? But I think it was probably just a joke.
Even with the clown nose when I read your posts with Olshey right next to them I'm always thinking for a second... "can I trust this shit" and then I remember that you're against him.

I never wanted Anthony as a Blazer, and I can count on one hand the number of times, after a game, I was glad that he was. Nothing against the guy, personally, but I'm delighted he's no longer hogging the ball and taking time from guys who might be able to contribute at both ends of the floor.
