Technically it doesn't say us... so it might be Houston's pick..... but I'm just sayin:

It's all been speculation, we never really knew anything.

I thought that too, but given that we are giving up a young, useful player on a team friendly contract and taking back the worst contract in the trade, WE should be the ones getting that HOU pick. Not the fucking Knicks.

There's just really not much to get excited about with this rumor.

If that is indeed the deal, we give up our two best small forwards and end up with some combination of Aminu and Crabbe manning the 3 spot. One guy is a decent defender, but has all the shooting touch of a trebuchet and dribbles like a spastic 3rd grader. The other can shoot, when open, but does NOTHING else and can't guard a chair without calling for the double team.

Swanigan can play the 3

I'd like to have Anderson as long as we could offload Turner/Meyers. You look at all the open 3s Aminu gets, just imagine if it were Ryan Anderson taking those. If there we some kind of bad defensive matchup for him on a particular night, we'd still have other options.

Turner is so much more valuable than Crabbe.

Due the twitts not loading for me can someone write out the rumor.

You know, there is no rule that we have to help HOU and NYK complete this trade. The more permutations I read, the more I hope we do nothing. This is one time where I would be happy to see Neil "twidding" his thumbs.

FWIW - a close NBA friend told me Melo to Houston is done. Very minor details being worked out now. Expects an announcement today/tomorrow

Was also told the deal was finalized last night but camps involved want to announce on their own terms, not the media's, hence the delay. https://twitter.com/NykInsider/status/884832984054026240 …

Would you say Carmelo Anthony for Maurice Harkless, Evan Turner, and a 1st rd pick is good return value for NY?

I'd imagine pick would be Houston. But Turner over Leonard only makes sense $$ wise. If we add Anderson, with nurk, vonleh, Davis, Collins, black swan... that's a lot of bigs. Losing Turner and harkless leaves aminu, better suited at the 4, and crabbe for the 3 spot.

PFs, PFs, everywhere
Nor any one to start

Keep going with these Anti- Crabbe posts. I am going to start scouring for the best ones to become my very first signature when Crabbe is named the starter at SF this season.

Write me some gems!!!!!!

You're going to be eating so much crow this season you'll to be farting feathers!

Houston and the Knicks need to make it worth Portland's while ....just getting Anderson's contract would suck for us at this point

You may want to wait to see how he actually plays as a starter before you start serving up that bird. If he is named the starter by default, because we gave away our two best small forwards, that doesn't mean shit. He still has to perform.

On the other hand if we trade both Harkless and Turner and Crabbe still isn't starting, it may be your turn to eat a little humble pie.

It really depends if Olshey has something else going on in another signing or another trade that bring back a SF. Right now you will have Crabbe and Aminu handling the SF position. They properly could handle it and it approx 7 million savings in cap. If we are the ones giving up the pick that way to much.

that would be fine, with layman takiing a couple minutes when aminu gets hurt

The rumored framework doesn't make sense at all.

You get rid of Turner, Harkless as the sweetener, but you take on just as gnarly of a contract in Ryan Anderson?

Who cares about andersons contract, he's a better player than either of those guys, but yeah that doesn't make much sense. We lose a large chunk of our wings. There would have to be another move lined up. Or we get Ariza.

Something else has to be involved. If this guy is right:

He doesn't say what's all coming back to Portland.

56 pages about nothing. It's a rumored trade, most likely meaning it's not true and it doesn't make sense for us to take Anderson so yeah....
