I don't see this going well for Portland. Let New York and Houston figure it out themselves.

I mean, sure, those two trades proposed where we get the only two valuable players and dump the bad contracts on New York were great (and hilarious realistic for New York) but I'm pretty sure Houston wants to add Melo to Ariza and Gordon, not give up even more depth to have 5 good players and 10 street free agent caliber players.

If we can come out of this offseason with: Collins/Swanigan/Smart I'd be happy.

How happy?

I bet Olshey is angling for lightly protected 2020 HOU Pick and 2020 NYK pick.

That's the summer we'll have a lot of capspace, and could use 3 firsts and the cap space the trade for a star. We could be players in 2019 free agency because ET AC, and Anderson would be tradable and the extra picks would help facilitate their cap clearing in case they do land someone.

What do you think of that as a long term plan @TBpup and others?

A trade where neither team wins. These are hard to find.

I'm sorry, but even sulky, butthurt and aging Aldridge is a vast improvement over Patty, Butters, and Davis. Huge win for us, and SA gets rid of a problem child.

He's a role player, just like our guys. The Nets are desperate to acquire any young talent.

13 points and 6+ rebounds shooting 43% from 3 on 4+ attempts and 51% on 2s, while playing solid defense is much more than a role player to me. His offensive rating was 129 last year. My only complaint would be that he needs to shoot more.

Why do people keep trying to put Nurk next to other centers? That experiment failed horribly in Denver. That's WHY we have him.

.........you make a good point. I just thought he could play PF. But yeah.....you make a very good point.

Hmmm.....:banghead2:
