You forgot Anderson lol

And AMinu.

Lewt me try again.

Dame/Turner/Napier
CJ/Gordon/{PattyC
Melo/Aminu/Layman
Anderson/Vonleh/Swannigan
Nurk/Collins/Davis

A little better, but still nothing to think we can contend with.

You have us getting Anderson, Gordon, and Melo damn

So just a thought, but extending Pats deadline enabled Neil to make this deal and have time to complete the follow up deal. If follow up deal doesn't happen then the Blazers still have a bbackup SG yeah I know Pat is awful in SL but he looks competent in regular season systematic play.

I've been saying for months that Pat could grow into a much cheaper Crabbe replacement. He's basically on the same career arc. Crabbe saw a big increase in his role in his third season. This will be Pat's third season.

I'm not concerned with his summer league performance. He was forced to play out of position at PG in an unstructured environment. Pat is more of a system player. He does better in a structured setting surrounded by good players. He knows his role in that system and won't try to force things.

Worst case, he's a tradeable piece with a non-guaranteed contract.

IN NO I Trust!

We'd be so far over the cap it wouldnt be funny. Plus we wont get Anderson and Gordon without Melo going to Houston. And as much as I would rather have Melo. Neil gave it the old college try. He rolled the dice and Melo doesn't want to come here. He can't be convinced. So, do the next best thing send him to Houston and make sure outside of their big three they dont have shit, but a bunch of cheapo contracts who will do little to help Houston contend for anything.

F you guys. Guy cant have his cake and eat it too?

Fine.....

Ummm... okay,... not really liking this lineup. but if it allows us to sign Nurk and keep moving pieces around then so be it.

New York's GM would be murdered less than two weeks into his new job lol
You think he's better off taking back Ryan Anderson? If the choice is between Anderson/Ariza or Hark/Meyers + offloading Lee (after having just signed THjr), which would you prefer?

He extended Pat so he could include him in a coming trade.

Anderson can help this team, especially now that we don't really have a shooter outside of Damian and CJ.

I'd prefer Melo and Lee of course. But, Melo doesnt want to come here and won't waive his no trade clause. Neil tried.

Anderson right now, is a better option at PF than anyone we have on the roster. We're stuck with ET at SF. So if we can trade Meyers and Harkless for Anderson, it's the exact same salary going out, in order to upgrade our starting lineup.

...I don't think Anderson is much of a starter nowadays, but maybe that's because I refuse to follow the Rockets :dunno:
He is, and if traded for, he and Turner would likely start at the forward spots.

Until an angry Swanigan injures Anderson in practice, Wally Pipping him permanently.

Yeah, Neil is in the midst of pulling a David Copperfield. Making our shitty contracts disappear.

If Neil traded ET he would be acknowledging a mistake, in the case of Crabbe he can blame the Nets for forcing his hand. Realistically a $12.9 mil trade exception is about what Crabbe is worth.
