For us. It was a pretty interesting off-season for the league--Chris Paul, Paul George, Jimmy Butler, Gordon Hayward all switching teams and each one altering the power balance. Plus the Kyrie Irving thing.

By the way, what's the latest news on Melo?

He has requested a trade to Minnesota, because that's where everyone wants to go these days. Must be the snow.

Too bad for Melo when they said there's a lot of snow, he thought they were talking about a different kind of snow

Has anyone actually expressed interest in Minnesota other than Kyrie Irving?

It's a good meme, though. Most likely, no one wants to go to Minnesota except Irving.

I thought it was this guy.

He was born there, he didn't really have much choice.
disagree bigtime...Prince could live anywhere but he stayed loyal to Minnesota...really actually had an impact on the culture...Morris Day and the Time....now his mansion is being converted into a Concert hall/Museum/Club.....I was born just south of there and we had choices.....I left as soon as I could and never moved back....he made it big and invested big in his hometown

I meant he didn't have much of a choice in arriving there. Most people like their hometown, at least to some extent. A city is a draw if it pulls in people who weren't born there.

I get that the weather sucks but it is the biggest market for 3 sports in that region...they have fans from Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Winnipeg Canada, etc....to a farm kid from Nebraska, Minneapolis is an urban mecca....and the weather is just as bad at home..when I was in high school you had to go to Minneapolis to see big name concerts...

That sounds like Seattle teams for Alaska, BC, Northern Oregon, Idaho, Montana, etc.

How great to see this endless Melo thread turn into snooker and Minnesota Fats!!!! You guys are bringin' it!!

If Melo were smart, he'd demand a trade to the Spurs....they could give NY Lamarcus and solve two problems at the same time.

NY doesn't want LMA because he's A) old and B) plays the same position as Porzingis.

I don't think that NY's need were the problem that riverman was referring to. He was talking about the problem of how to make Blazers fans giddy in their on-going desire for revenge upon LMA.

That would be glorious, I cannot lie.

Well, obviously a 3rd team would be involved, like the Blazers would take LMA and send Lillard, CJ, and Nurk to NYK.

Problem solved.
