With that said, it still proves that Melo has not said one single thing publicly about where he wants to be traded. It has all been said second hand. Nobody can find a single direct quote from him that says he wants to go to Houston.

Does "going over options" mean asking Melo if he will go to Portland?

Can't believe there aren't more responses to this news. We finally had actual Melo quotes and he didn't say anything about Houston or any other team.

If Olshey trades for him at this point he should be fired, then repeatedly kicked in the groin. It's crystal clear he has no interest playing here - wasting assets on him would be just as dumb as trading for Ryan Anderson.

He obviously doesn't want to come here (yet) though, or it would have happened ages ago.
 
Rumor seems to have stalled. To add completely speculative fuel, rookies who sign their deals can't be traded for 30 days after. Our guys signed on the 3rd of July, which I believe means they'd be eligible to be traded tomorrow...

I need my dose of "Carmelo only wants to play in Houston and won't waive his no trade clause for anyone else." Who will write the "news"? I bet on Ric Bucher.
