Should the Blazers puruse Carmelo Anthony?

  • Yes

  • No

  • Not No but Hell No

If Carmello Anthony doesn't want to play for the Blazers: HE SHOULD NOT BE ON THE TEAM.

If Carmello Anthony wanted to play for the Blazers, he'd be here by now.

Ergo: Even if Carmello Anthony relented and "accepted" a trade to Portland, the Blazers should absolutely not make that trade.

I hope this idea dies, soon.

And Ryan Anderson? Fuggetaboutit.

Agreed on all counts. There are prospective pieces in this deal in which I would be interested (Lee, Ariza, Onuaku, Hartenstein, O'Quinn), but neither Carmelo nor Anderson make that list. IMO, only way receiving Anderson makes any sense is if both Leonard and Turner are sent out, and you know there's no way that happens.

We should just move on to other deals, don't know what's stopping Olshey from it. There are plenty of guys we could use the TPE on that would help our team and I still think one of Aminu/Harkless should be moved along with Vonleh and Davis (although Davis can wait.)

Well I'm sure Neil is picking up the phone and might have some alternate deals lined up. I just hope he doesn't waste to much time waiting for melo

I don't think Neil is waiting on the Melo deal. I think it's an option that's out there, but I don't think Neil is actively looking to dump Harkless.

Leonard?... yes.

Harkless? I doubt it.

Why would we take on a player in exchange for Crabbe, just to dump him in order to drop the tax bill, and then use the TPE to pull in another middling player?

If NO gets a needle mover I'm sure he could use the TPE. If not, then why spend it?

How far I've come, I remember googling what a troll was the first time I saw it on here.

I don't care what ya say....... best night ever on Bourbon Street right there. Rough day at work the next day though. You guys saw NO highlights that game I promise.

So what's your boss' moniker on here ?

So does this make it more/less likely Melo will allow himself to be traded to Portland?

No change. That article gave zero new information. Total fluff.

With that said, it still proves that Melo has not said one single thing publicly about where he wants to be traded. It has all been said second hand. Nobody can find a single direct quote from him that says he wants to go to Houston.
