It has nothing to do with reverting in time. Is about his teammates, coaches and offensive scheme.

He last played for Team USA in 2016 Summer Olympics. His play and leadership were universally praised by the Team USA coaches. Read what Tom Thibodeau said about him here.

I think he's a smart player and very coachable. I also think he wants to win. Playing in a flow offense, surrounded by Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic, I don't if you'll see him "holding the ball for the entire shot clock".

If HOU had the assets to get the deal done, it would have happened months ago. They don't and haven't acquired any new trade assets in the last two months. Morey blew his was on the CP3 trade and has nothing left to offer except a 29-year old injury prone player that makes over $20 million a year for the next three years that plays the same position as the player who is the centerpiece of the Knicks rebuilding effort.

If Anthony to HOU was doable,it would have been done by now.
