Seriously though, I kind of wanted Melo last year, but I think he’s basically done and I’m not sure his ego has caught up the player he actually is, if you’re making the move to appease Dame than I’m fine with it, gotta keep Dame happy.

You guys are crazy, Schroder isn't that good and has 3 years left on his contract. This was a salary dump for Atlanta and they get a future pick out of it. The Thunder just took on a lot of future money, further clouding their financial situation, for a guy who plays the same position as your best player.

Schroeder could be a good back up for WB though. I guess the salary dump is good for atl, especially since they aren’t exactly trying to win.

They have already went all in. The money was going to be big either way, swapping Melo for Schroeder is a huge plus. A whole lot better than having to play Melo for another year or having to buy him out.

Wish our GM would shit or get off the pot, so to speak.
 
Yeah, Schroder is mediocre, Atlanta did well to get out of his extra 2 years AND get a pick out of it. Schroder is a terrible shooter, and very ball dominant. So he either only gets 12 minutes a night, or they force lineups with him and Westbrook together? Neither can shoot. Add in Roberson, and...
Love it for Atlanta, don't see it for OKC.
 
OKC still has a massive tax bill. Not sure Dennis is worth it but he's better than melo. They'll be better than us next yr as well ugh.
