I get what you’re saying. I’ve had my heart ripped out by my teams in the past... I know what it feels like. But sometimes you have to go all in and believe in something, especially something as special as this coming year. The west is stacked, but we don’t have to rely on our typical “puncher’s chance” going into a season. I think many teams will underestimate us and get burned...

I'm hoping he sees himself as an old Vince Carter and not as even last year's Carmello.

There's no starting role here. There's a pretty good chance of just 10 minutes on a given night, depending on who is hot.

With VC retired and Haslem, Chandler, Crawford and Korver not under contract, Melo is the 2nd oldest player with an NBA contract right now. Only Iguadala is older. (Iguadala is guaranteed $15m this coming year!)
